According to an aspect, an apparatus for positioning a sewing machine accessory includes a support arm. The support arm is configured for attachment to a sewing machine and comprises a first coupling component. The first coupling component comprises a first magnetic component. The apparatus also includes an accessory arm configured for attachment of a sewing machine accessory. The accessory arm comprises a second coupling component. The first coupling component and the second coupling component are configured for attachment together. The second coupling component comprises a second magnetic component that is attracted to the first magnetic component for urging the second coupling component towards the first coupling component when the first and second coupling components are attached together. The first and second coupling components are configured to position the sewing machine accessory to a user-determined position.

摘要： A presser foot for a sewing machine includes a shank detachably connected to a sewing machine presser foot bar. The shank has a transverse slot formed at the bottom thereof and a lug provided with a slit extending rearwardly from the back thereof. A lever is pivotally connected to the lug. A plate bridges both the lug and the lever to hold opposite ends of a torsion spring positioned in the slit of the lug to urge the lever by its biasing force. A rod is connected at its base to the lower end of the lever and movably extends through a longitudinal bore to project into the transverse slot of the shank until a stopper of the rod touches the edge of the bore. A presser foot shoe has a pair of supports for supporting a shaft extending transversely of the shoe and adapted to be received in the transverse slot and retained therein by the forward end of the rod closing the open side of the transverse slot. The shank is formed with a vertical groove at one side thereof for receiving the presser foot bar therein and has a colored plate arranged on the front thereof to prevent reflection of rays thereon.

摘要： A lighted magnifying needle threading fixture is provided. The threading fixture includes an elongated body with a magnifier lens at one end, a rest surface defined at the other, and therebetween a downwardly protruding support terminating in two support feet, as well as a battery compartment. The magnifier lens has a diameter of between about 30 mm and about 60 mm. The support feet and rest surface support the magnifier between about one and about four inches above a planar surface. The downwardly protruding support has a needle receiving socket beneath the magnifier, and an LED between the magnifier and the socket. The magnification strength allows a needle protruding from the socket to be in focus if viewed from above at a distance of between about 4 and 6 inches. The fixture is balanced on a planar surface so that the socket, LED and magnifier are accessible from both below and above.
