    摘要: A method of strengthening a conveyable fiber lap in an endlessly circulating conveying device is provided. The method includes conveying the fiber lap using first and second converging rollers, each roller having an outer surface, at least the first roller being provided with profile elements on its outer surface, the profile elements being non-continuous in an axial direction of the first roller; subjecting the fiber lap to a pressure when the fiber lap passes through a gap between the first and second rollers; and strengthening the fiber lap by exerting the pressure by the converging rollers and the profile elements.

Time delay switches are incorporated to prevent the moisture control valve from shutting down in the event of a momentary break in the cotton batt and to allow the lint cotton in the slide to start normal flow after the tramper starts.

    摘要: A transport system for transporting laps wound on tubes in spinning preparation. The laps are transported above head height by carriers or supports movable along transport rails and are raised and lowered by means of carrier rails. The transport rails and the carrier rails are components or parts of a closed, endless circulation path or track. Each carrier has a holder for the lap and a holder for the empty tube. The invention provides the advantages that no special transport system is required for return of the tubes. Moreover, transport of individual laps or of a group of such laps is possible and an ordered and simple circulation path is provided during transport of these elements or parts. Furthermore, the system can readily be automated.
