Abstract:
Re-dispersible pigmented printing ink compositions, preferably for the continuous ink jet printing process are obtained by the addition of a flocculating agent to the pigment dispersion in the printing liquid. The compositions do not form hard sediments and are easy to re-disperse on stopping and resuming the printing operations. Suitable flocculating agents bind the pigment particles in the sediment into three-dimensional nullairynull structures, which are easy to break up. The ink compositions of the invention are furthermore characterized by a good printability in the dispersed state.

Ink jet recording method and apparatus is provided in which a color image is recorded by discharging, onto a recording medium, a black ink and at least one of a cyan ink, a magenta ink and a yellow ink from a black-ink recording head that ejects the black ink onto the recording medium, and a color-ink recording head that ejects the at least one of a cyan ink, a magenta ink and a yellow ink onto the recording medium, wherein the black ink contains carbon black, water, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a water-soluble polymer having an anionic functional group, and has a drying time of 5 seconds or more on the recording medium, and at least one type of the color ink contains a color material, water, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a coagulating agent, and has a drying time of 5 seconds or less on the recording medium.

There is provided an ink composition which can yield records possessing excellent rubbing/abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. Specifically, records possessing, excellent rubbing/abrasion resistance and scratch resistance can be produced by using an ink composition comprising: an alkali-soluble copolymer; water; a colorant; and at least one member selected from the group consisting of wax, a viscosity modifier, and a wetting agent. The alkali-soluble copolymer is a copolymer, with an acid value of not more than 40, which is produced by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and other monomer copolymerizable with the ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer in the presence of an alcoholic hydroxyl-containing water-soluble polymer compound or a copolymerizable surfactant and has been adjusted to a pH value, at which the copolymer is soluble in water, by the addition of an inorganic base.

The subject invention provides a composite comprising stabilized conductive nanoparticles dispersed within a polymer matrix. The dielectric constant of the composites is advantageously high, exceeding that predicted by the rule of mixtures. The subject invention further provides a film comprising such composites. Such films will enjoy applicability in electronics applications. The subject invention additionally provides a thin film organic transistor comprising the inventive composite. The subject invention further provides processes for stabilizing conductive nanoparticles.

Disclosed is a cap holding device for an embroidery machine capable of easily mounting a cap while securely supporting the cap and improving workability and productivity. The cap holding device has a holding member for mounting the cap thereon, a pressing member detachably coupled to the holding member so as to maintain the cap in the holding member, and at least one fixing part formed at one end or both ends of the pressing member and fixed to the holding member.
