摘要: Stowing systems and methods to disassemble, store, and/or protect an aircraft, and in particular a VTOL aircraft, for transportation along standard public roadways. A stowing system attaches to the aircraft in a flight-ready state, and guides, supports, and/or stabilizes sub-assemblies of the aircraft as they are removed and moved into their stowed positions in preparation for transportation. In some embodiments, the stowing system is implemented as a trailer. The trailer, in some embodiments, is towable by car, such that the aircraft can be carried on and transported with the car and trailer by road. In some embodiments, the stowing system defines landing platform for the aircraft. It may provide facilities to help direct the aircraft to a precise location allowing support elements of the stowing system to be moved to engage with sub-assemblies of the aircraft along predefined degrees of freedom.

摘要: A storage case, including, at least one door which is moveable between a first position in which the door is closed and a second position in which the door is opened; a platform, which can support an aerial vehicle; and a mechanical connection means which is connected between the platform and the at least one door, wherein the mechanical connection means is configured such that as the door is moved from its first position to its second position the platform is simultaneously elevated; and as the door is moved from its second position to its first position the platform is simultaneously lowered; and a controller configured to control the mechanical connection means. There is further provided a corresponding method of deploying an aerial vehicle; a corresponding method of storing an aerial vehicle; an assembly including the storage case and an aerial vehicle; and a vehicle including the storage case.

There is an opening in a vehicle frame that is configured to: (1) receive the vertical connector prior to the attachment sub-system detachably coupling to the vertical connector and (2) hold the vertical connector while the attachment sub-system is detachably coupled to the vertical connector.

摘要: An enclosure for a UAS includes a housing having a base and a plurality of sidewalls coupled to the base, a motive apparatus coupled to the housing, a platform coupled to the motive apparatus, and a plurality of lids pivotably coupled to the sidewalls and the platform. The platform and the plurality of lids move collectively under control of the motive apparatus (e.g., a linear actuator). Driving the motive apparatus in a first direction causes the platform to raise from a stowed position toward a deployed position and causes each of the plurality of lids to pivot from a closed position toward an open position. Conversely, driving the motive apparatus in a second direction opposite the first direction causes the platform to lower from the deployed position toward the stowed position and causes each of the plurality of lids to pivot from the open position toward the closed position.

摘要: A protection system for a classroom or other space to protect against a terrorist. The system includes a fixed control unit and a mobile control unit. The fixed control unit contains a hanger for drones to be launched against the terrorist. The fixed control unit also includes data storage units, a computer, a computer program and a memory, power storage units, a sighting laser for obtaining location information about the terrorist and an etching laser for marking the terrorist, an optics system for receiving visual information, and a telecommunication unit to send and receive information. The mobile control unit is worn by a protecting person in the space and includes some of the same components as the fixed control unit. It also has a local aiming system that includes for example a rifle type sight. The drone is a self-contained, self-propelled robotic flying vehicle that can be very small or even the size of a mouse. It has a mag-lev engine, electrical storage units and an aeronautically shaped body.

The clamping mechanism is configured to secure flying machines in the charging stations and securely close charging circuits between the storage container and the flying machines. A system for launching flying machines is also provided. The system comprises two regions and a transition region between the two regions. The two regions each constrain the positioning of a flying machine and the transition region enables a flying machine to move from the first region to the second region to reach an exit. A flying machine having sufficient performance capabilities will be able to successfully launch. Centralized and decentralized communication architectures are also provided for communicating data between a central control system, multiple storage containers, and multiple stored flying machines stored at each of the storage containers.
