    摘要: An automatically sealing boat draining device to be mounted in a hole passing through the transom of a boat, includes: a cylindrical housing with a drain hole; a ball valve assembly mounted within and removable from the drain hole; and a plug for sealing the drain hole. The ball valve assembly includes a ball, a sealing ball seat component, and a flow through ball seat component that are held within the drain hole by a retaining ring. A flow of water from the outer end toward the inner end of the drain hole causes the ball to seat in the sealing seat component and seal the drain hole. A flow of water from the inner end toward the outer end of the drain hole causes the ball to seat in the ball flow though seat component and permit the flow of water through the drain hole.

    摘要: A method and apparatus is disclosed for permitting the passage of conduits through the hull of a boat without the creation of additional holes. A conduit-accommodating passageway is defined through the boat's scupper which bypasses the check valve that is associated with the scupper to prevent backflow. An annular body having a radially-extending conduit-accommodating passage communicating between its O.D. and its I.D. is positioned with respect to the scupper so that the fluid passing through the scupper and check valve passes through the generally annular body's I.D. while conduit passing through the radially-extending passage passes through the scupper but bypasses the check valve.

A manifold has a threaded inlet fitting, a primary outlet fitting dimensioned to be connectable to the conduit, and a plurality of secondary outlet fittings connectable to secondary conduits for secondary consumers. The inlet and secondary outlet fittings of the manifold have cross-sectional areas determined by dimensions of the primary outlet fitting. A strainer has an inlet connected to a through-hull fitting for receiving and straining incoming raw water and an outlet having a threaded connector for attachment to the manifold inlet fitting, the strainer having a flow capacity determined by the diameter of the strainer outlet. The cross-sectional area of the manifold inlet is larger than the combined cross-sectional areas of the primary outlet fitting and the secondary outlet fittings and is determined by the cross-sectional area of the primary outlet fitting.

Two bilge surface engaging members are releasably connectable in a second use mode to, and extending in either direction from, the upper end of the upright support members whereby the base plate is supportable above or against the hull inner surface.

    摘要: The present invention is a drain plug apparatus designed and configured to remain in the drain hole of a conventional pleasure water vessel, regardless of whether the vessel is in or out of the water. This drain plug apparatus includes a body assembly having at least two chambers. One chamber will house a shut-off valve for enabling the boater to open or close the drain plug apparatus. This will render water to escape or prevent entrance to the boat, respectively. A safety assembly is included in the second and each subsequent chamber. The safety assembly will prevent water passage into the water vessel should the user forget to close the drain plug assembly, prior to placing the boat in water.
