The headrest may also have a locking element for locking and unlocking the retaining element in the adjusted height position. The retaining element is guided in a height-adjustable manner on the base support element. A motor vehicle seat may have the headrest.

    摘要: A seating device includes a headrest movably connected to a seat body. An adjustment mechanism is provided to adjust the position of the headrest relative to the seat body. An operating unit has a driving member to actuate the adjustment mechanism, and a handle portion bending from the driving member. The driving member is movable between non-operative and operative positions. In the non-operative position, the handle portion abuts against the headrest, and the driving member is inoperative to actuate the adjustment mechanism. In the operative position, the handle portion protrudes outward from the headrest, and the driving member is able to actuate the adjustment mechanism.

    摘要: This disclosure generally relates to a headrest assembly for a seat in a vehicle. In particular, the headrest assembly includes a locking arrangement that reduces, if not completely eliminates, buzz, squeak, and rattle (BSR). An exemplary headrest assembly includes, among other things, a rod including a recess and which is configured to connect the headrest assembly to a seat back. The headrest assembly also includes a head restraint having a locking portion configured to selectively engage the recess to set a vertical position of the head restraint relative to the rod. Further, at least one of the recess and the locking portion is tapered. Tapering the recess and/or the locking portion ensures that there will be two opposed points of contact between the recess and the locking portion, thereby reducing, if not eliminating, BSR between the two elements.
