Abstract:
The apparatus and method for eliminating ground water infiltration while stabilizing the ground and repairing underground pipe/ conduit and connections is taught in this art. The steps are to first inject, under pressure, expandable structural foam in the space adjacent and outside the pipe while blocking any infiltration of the foam into the interior of the pipe, conduit or connection. Concurrently or separately the inside diameter of the pipe is receiving a structural repair. The result is stabilized ground, elimination of ground water infiltration and repair of the host pipe conduit or connection. The invention also teaches a novel method of utilizing a tensioned and compressive support on the outer pipe surface.
Abstract:
A more controllable acoustic ceiling patch or textured material in the form of a sprayable composition includes a base, a filler, an adhesive binder, an anti-foaming agent, a suspension agent, and rubber particulates or polyethylene particulates forming an aggregate suitable for spraying in the presence of volatile organic compound (VOC) propellants without melting or deterioration. The more controllable acoustic ceiling patch is storable and dispensable from a pressurized dispenser having a delivery nozzle. An aerosol system with a spray nozzle is included on the container for selective discharge of the textured material onto a prepared patch area, which may be on a drywall or support panel so as to match and blend with the surrounding acoustic ceiling surface area in order to provide a continuous and unbroken coextensive surface texture of mechanically and visually matched material.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for repairing damaged vinyl or leather wherein polyurethane film covers the damaged area and is heated. Plastisol is inserted in the damaged area and a layer of grain paper is applied thereon. Heat is again applied at a temperature to sufficiently cure the plastisol but to not damage the material surrounding the damaged area.
Abstract:
A method for repairing insulation material applied to at least one electrical winding, wherein the method includes identifying an area to be repaired, applying epoxy to the area to be repaired, covering the epoxy with at least one of an adhesive tape and a release film, curing the epoxy, removing at least one of the adhesive tape and the release film, and finalizing the epoxy height.
Abstract:
A method for rejuvenating a vinyl resin surface, the method comprising applying a composition to the surface, where the composition includes at least one organic solvent compound that has a solubility parameter (null) of from about 8.0 to about 10.6 (cal/cm3)1/2.

Abstract:
In windshield crack repair it is necessary to move a repair tool alongside a crack and manipulate a resin injection head to remain in close proximity to the crack at all times. A three cupped tool is disclosed which exhibits here before unavailable lateral and longitudinal stability even when one of the cups becomes unadhered to the windshield. The tool comprises an elongate frame having an upright injection head attachment means on one end; an upright frame height adjustment means on the other opposite end; and, a central portion having three suction cups, each having an upright axis, and each oriented for attachment to the windshield. In a preferred aspect of this tool the axis of a suction cup closest to the injection head generally is in alignment with an elongate axis of the elongate frame and the upright axis of the other two cups are offset similar amounts from the axis of the elongate frame. This arrangement facilitates visibility and manipulation of the injection head along a crack in a windshield.
Abstract:
The invention provides a process for joining solid-state compositions comprising adhering two or more solid-state composition together with an asphaltenes-containing adhesive which comprises in the range of from 100 to 10% by weight of an asphaltenes-containing binder having a penetration of less than 15 dmm and in the range of from 0 to 90% by weight of solid particles, based on total weight of asphaltenes-containing adhesive, with the proviso that the solid particles are not solely petroleum coke particles; an asphaltenes-containing adhesive; a process for re-cycling solid-state compositions and a process of crack-repair.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an installation for producing a spunbonded fabric web comprising a diffuser (6) defining for the filaments a passage with diverging cross-section and a conveyor (7) for receiving the filaments coming out of the diffuser. The uniformity of the web is enhanced by means of a device separating the filaments by electrostatic process mounted at a higher level than the bottom of the passage.
Abstract:
An improved method of and apparatus for producing preferably thin plastic protective film layers for thin shiny copper foils and the like, as for PCB applications, with electric-charge adhering of the same to the foil and with peel-off releasable properties to provide the same original pristine, shiny copper foil surface without contamination, marring or other physical, chemical or other residue despite handling and other processing procedures.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of joining two or more pieces of wood based materials, comprising the steps of providing at least two pieces of wood based material; separately applying an adhesive composition (A), comprising a curable resin, and a composition (B), comprising a gel forming substance, onto at least one of said at least two pieces; joining the two pieces together to form an assembly having the compositions (A) and (B) situated between the pieces; pre-pressing the obtained assembly, with no curing of the resin; and then, hot-pressing the assembly to cure the resin. It also relates to wood based products made by the method.
