    摘要: A tool manufacturing method includes the steps of preparing a cylindrical blank, dividing the blank into sections, changing an outer diameter of one of the sections, and shaping the sections to complete a tool. During the shaping step, the section whose outer diameter is changed is shaped into a symmetrical polygon for serving as a head portion of the tool and shaping another section to obtain a polygon with alternate concavities and convexities thereon for serving as an engaging portion of the tool. Accordingly, the progressive execution of the method prevents the deterioration of the blank made of a high carbon content metal material, allows the tool to keep good mechanical properties, increases the manufacturing efficiency, and reduces manufacturing costs.

    摘要: A non-deforming structure of a wrench contains: a handle and at least one driving head arranged on at least one end of the handle. The handle includes an elongated body having four corners, a first length, a handle width, a handle thickness, and four elongated recesses. The handle width is 1.4 time to 2.6 time more than the handle thickness. Each elongated recess has a second length, a largest width, and a largest depth. Each of the largest width and the largest depth of each elongated recess shrinks from an intermediate portion thereof to two ends of each of the largest width and the largest depth until connects with each corner. The second length takes up at least ⅓ of the first length, the largest width takes up 2/9 to 4/9 of the handle width, and the largest depth takes up 2/9 to 4/9 of the handle thickness.

A semi-finished product is a bar and each distance between two opposite sides of the bar is equal and has two using ends and a working section arranged therebetween. Two transferring sections are respectively arranged between each using end and the working end. A distance Z1 between two sides of the transferring section is less than a distance Y1 between two sides of the working section. Two side surfaces of the working section is flatted to become a flatted surface respectively. Y1 is less than or equal to double of a height X of the working section after being flatted and Z1 is less than or equal to X. The working section is cut to form two finished products and each has an assembling end which provides the an assembling hole to pass through and formed on the corresponding flatted surface.

    摘要: A socket driver, and method of forming the same, is described in which longitudinal protuberances are provided on successive surfaces of the hexagonal cavity for receiving a bit driver. The protuberances create an interference fit with the driven end of the bit driver, the protuberances being so dimensioned that forceful insertion of the bit driver into the hexagonal cavity at least partially deflects the walls portions on which protuberances are formed to thereby slightly deflect the same. The resulting restoring forces create a spring action which semi-permanently secures the bit driver received within the socket driver.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of die-forged or die-stamped workpieces, in which, after the stamping or forging process, the burr on the rough workpiece is removed, and the rough workpiece is machined at least at the functional faces, and subsequently heat-treated to achieve a structural change in the material. In order to eliminate some of the machining steps and thereby achieve a faster and less expensive manufacture of the workpiece, a trajectory laser is used to remove the burr on the rough workpiece. The removal of the burr is preferably carried out after the heat-treatment of the rough workpiece, whereby the laser also produces the functional faces of the rough workpiece in the same manufacturing step.

    摘要: A pivoted jaw pipe wrench having a three-arm lever which translates the swinging motion of the wrench handle to one of the two jaws for pipe-engaging purposes and is characterized by the fact that it is in the form of a laminated structure, thereby allowing it to be made thinner than the three-arm levers of previously designed similar wrenches but without sacrificing strength and consequent resistance to rupture. The space which is saved by the relative thinness of the three-arm lever allows a lever-reinforcing shroud on the wrench body to lie alongside of the lever for reinforcing purposes, the movable lever and its associated fixed shroud presenting a lever arrangement which substantially equals the transverse width of conventional one-piece cast three-arm levers for the same purpose. Ancillary features of novelty which are associated with the wrench include the provision of a pair of reaction lugs, one on the three-arm lever and one on the wrench body, such lugs replacing the separately-fashioned reaction members for the opposite ends of lever-biasing springs which are used with similar wrenches.
