摘要: The relaxing apparatus of the present invention comprises a treating bath having a plurality of hurdle projections mounted on the inside surface of the treating bath and a cylindrical rotor facing the inside surface of the treating bath, the rotor is reciprocally rotatable at a predetermined angle, preferably 20* to 45* and has a plurality of paddle projections mounted on the peripheral surface of the rotor. The paddle projections are effective for paddling a treating liquid in the treating bath so as to exert a crumpling action to the material charged in the treating bath. The hurdle projections are effective for enforcing the crumpling action presenting an obstacle to movements of the material and treating liquid. The material can be continuously and sufficiently relaxed the treating liquid by the crumpling action.

摘要: A continuous lower apron is matched with a continuous upper apron, both of which are driven from an inlet end toward an outlet end, but the upper apron is shorter than the lower apron to provide an exposed portion at the inlet end of the upper apron. Staple fibers are fed to the inlet end of the lower apron and are there sprayed with a treating liquid directed toward the upper surface of the lower apron. The sprayed fibers then pass in between the two aprons, while a series of squeeze rolls located along them urge the aprons together and distribute the sprayed liquid upon the fibers and into them. The aprons perferably comprise imperforate rubber belts, the lower apron preferably being of harder rubber than the upper one, both belts having rough surfaces to discourage adherence of wet fibers to them. The lower apron may have a series of ridges extending diagonally and lengthwise across it; the valleys between ridges distribute treating liquid that misses the fibers and helps to treat the underpart of the fiber groups.

摘要: IN A METHOD FOR THE CONTINUOUS WET TREATMENT OF A TEXTILE WEB GUIDED ALONG A ZIG-ZAG PATH IN A BATH FORMED BY A CONTINUOUS COUNTER-CURRENT OF FLOWING TREATMENT LIQUID, THE WEB IS POSITIELY GUIDED ALONG ITS PATH OF MOVEMENT THROUGH THE BATH WHILE BEING SUPPORTED IN A SUBSTANTIALLY UNINTERRUPTED MANNER ALONG THIS PATH. THE EFFECT SIMULTANEOUS BOUNDARY LAYER EXCHANGE ON BOTH SURFACES, THE BOTH SURFACES OF THE WEB ARE ALTERNATELY COMPRESSED AND STRETCHED. THE WEB IS GUIDED OVER PERFORATED ROLLERS AND, WITH RESPECT TO THE MAJORITY OF THESE ROLLERS, THE WEB HAS

A LOOPING ANGLE THEREAROUND IN EXCESS OF 180*. THE PERFORATED ROLLERS ARE ARRANGED SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER THAT, ALTHROUGH THEY DO NOT TOUCH, THEY FORM PRACTICALLY AN UNINTERRUPTED SUPPORT FOR THE WEB. AT LEAST ONE WIDE-SLOT NOZZLE DIRECTS TREATMENT LIQUID DIRECTLY AGAINST THE TEXTILE WEB IN THE BATH. PREFERABLY, THE ROLLERS HAVE DISPLACEMENT INSERTS THEREIN TO FILL A SUBSTANTIAL PART OF THE INTERIOR OF THE ROLLERS.

摘要: A flat web of fabric is folded and overlapped into a fabric pack between a pair of perforate belts. The belts carry the fabric pack in a generally U-shaped conveying path. At the bottom arcuate portion of the conveying path, the fabric pack goes through a washing tank and is squeezed between the belts. The fabric pack passes out of the tank and goes between squeeze rolls which force washing liquid through and from the fabric pack. The fabric pack is then pulled from its folded and overlapped condition for passage through exit squeeze means as a flat web of fabric.

摘要: Apparatus for the continuous wet treatment of a textile web is disclosed, wherein the web is guided along a zig-zag path through a bath which is formed by treatment liquid flowing in counter current to the direction of movement of the textile web. The bath is contained in a channel shaped vessel, and a plurality of perforated deflecting rollers are positioned within the vessel and form between them a zig-zag-like path for guiding the textile web through the vessel and thus through the bath in meander-like manner. Nozzles are located within the vessel adjacent one of said rollers, the nozzles having a slot-like discharge opening which, when a textile web moves through the vessel, extends above the web and over substantially the entire width of the web. The discharge opening of the nozzle discharges treatment liquid in the form of a jet-like stream which impinges against the web in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane of the web and to the axis of the roller beneath the web, while forming an acute angle with the longitudinal axis of the channel shaped vessel with the open side of the acute angle pointing in the direction in which the web is withdrawn from the vessel.

摘要: A method and apparatus for treating a layer of fibrous material with a liquid in operations such as the scouring of wool fibers, the fibers being arranged into a thin layer between porous conveyors and conveyed by them through a body of treating liquid, the layer being subjected to a series of nipping actions which cause liquid to flow along the layer of fibers, the flow of liquid through the layer in a direction normal to the plane of the layer being maintained. It is preferred that the nipping devices should be in the form of nipping members which have a surface arranged at an acute angle to the surface of one of the conveying members so as to define a wedge-shaped space, the arrangements of these members being such as to maintain a hydrodynamic pressure gradient across the layer of fibers thus promoting a uniform unidirectional flow of liquid through the fibers.
