    摘要: A new method and apparatus for manufacturing powders of cemented carbide, cermets, ceramics and similar materials with good abrasive wear resistance starting from a slurry, wherein the slurry is introduced into a drop forming device including at least one essentially horizontal oriented rotating drop forming disk (12), from which the drops are slung out to solidify by centrifugal force. According to the invention the slurry is ejected from a discharge opening (21) on the drop former in the form of a jet such that it hits a first obliquely downward and inwardly directed surface (22) whereby the speed of rotation of the disk is chosen such that the jet of liquid is forced upwards over the first surface as well as over to another connected horizontal surface (23) and thereafter is ejected as a split jet against a second obliquely downwards-outwards directed surface (25) such that the slurry is accelerated to the speed of the drop forming disk (12) and then is led over a third surface (26) obliquely directed outwards, from where the drops are then caused to detach themselves and fall down, thus forming a powder.

    摘要: A water deflector for use with a nozzle is disclosed. The nozzle has a water channel including a water inlet and a mouth from which water is dispersed. The water deflector comprises a shaft for passing through the water channel of the nozzle, the shaft having a lower end and an outer end, and an aperture along a part of its length between the lower and outer ends. A base member connects to the shaft at the lower end thereof, and has a width sufficiently large to prevent, in use, the base member from entering the water inlet of the water channel. Water passing through the water channel is deflected by the water deflector to alter the pattern of watering about the nozzle.

    摘要: A de-agglomerator is provided for use with a breath-actuated dry powder inhaler for breaking up aggregates and micronizing particles of dry powder prior to inhalation of the powder by a patient using the inhaler. The de-agglomerator includes an inner wall defining a swirl chamber extending along an axis from a first end to a second end, a dry powder supply port, an inlet port, and an outlet port. The supply port is in the first end of the swirl chamber for providing fluid communication between a dry powder delivery passageway of an inhaler and the first end of the swirl chamber. The inlet port is in the inner wall of the swirl chamber adjacent to the first end of the swirl chamber and provides fluid communication between a region exterior to the de-agglomerator and the swirl chamber. The outlet port provides fluid communication between the second end of the swirl chamber and a region exterior to the de-agglomerator, whereby a breath induced low pressure at the outlet port causes air flows into the swirl chamber through the dry powder supply port and the inlet port. The air flows collide with each other and with the wall of the swirl chamber prior to exiting through the outlet port, such that any powder entrained in the air flows is broken down and micronized. The de-agglomerator further includes vanes at the first end of the swirl chamber for creating additional collisions and impacts of entrained powder.

    摘要: The guide member (1) for a liquid jet (30) to be deflected allows a liquid (3) after flowing out of a container (2) to be deflected onto a target (5; 7) which is located below the container. The deflecting takes place by means of a shaped material plate (10; 10a, 10b) which is arranged ahead of an outlet opening (20) of the container and which reshapes and further conducts the jet (30) in such a manner that the liquid is conveyed to the target at a lower end (17) of the shaped material plate. At the location ahead of the outlet opening (20), where the liquid jet (30) is incident onto the shaped material plate (10), a first and a second piece of surface (11 and 12 respectively) of the material plate form a mouth region (13) in which the first piece of surface (11) deflects the liquid (3) transversely with respect to the vertical, whereas the second piece of surface (12) is provided as a catcher for squirts. The first piece of surface merges into a channel (14) in which the liquid is guided downwards. In this the wall of the second piece of surface divides the channel off from the mouth region. In modified form the guide member can also be assembled from a plurality of shaped material plates.
