Abstract:
Method for treating dermatosis and pruritus due to hemodialysis by applying to a patient suffering from said diseases due to hemodialysis the external preparation containing Aspirin as an active ingredient.
Abstract:
The present invention is a self-foaming, foam-type, post-foaming or foamable cosmetic or dermatological preparation comprising at least one siloxane elastomer selected from the group of siloxane elastomers obtainable by reacting vinyl-terminated polymethylsiloxane with methylhydro-dimethylsiloxane or by reacting hydroxy-terminated dimethylpolysiloxane with trimethylsiloxy-terminated methylpolysiloxane. The present invention also includes a method of preparing foam comprising combining the cosmetic or dermatological preparation with at least one gas or propellant by releasing the preparation and the gas or propellant from a pressurized gas container, and a method for increasing the stability of a foam comprising adding at least one siloxane elastomer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition and use of polymeric urethane esters quats as an active ingredient for skin and hair contacting personal care compositions and products related thereto. These compositions are generally produced by the reaction of a trialkanolamine with a hydroxy fatty acid to produce a trialkanolamine fatty acid ester, which is then polymerized with a diisocyanate and in preferred embodiments, further reacted with a quaternizing agent to produce preferred quaternized compositions according to the present invention.
Abstract:
A composition for use on personal hygiene articles containing: (a) a primary wax or oil component selected from the group consisting of a C14-30 dialkyl carbonate, a C14-30 dialkylene carbonate, and mixtures thereof; and (b) up to about 10% by weight of water, and wherein the composition has a melting point above about 25null C.
Abstract:
A cosmetic or dermatological composition which is self-foaming and/or foam-like. The composition comprises an emulsifier system comprising three different emulsifiers, a lipid phase, a gas, an inorganic thickener, an organic hydrocolloid, and a particulate solid substance which is hydrophobic, hydrophobicized and/or oil-absorbing.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a cosmetic product comprising at least two compositions wherein the first composition comprises a liquid fatty phase and polymer particles dispersed in the liquid fatty phase and the second composition comprises a high molecular weight polymer having a weight-average molecular mass of greater than or equal to 200 000 g/mol; also disclosed are a makeup method and a makeup kit including the product, which may be in the form of a lipstick.
Abstract:
The foam product for hair treatment includes a composition containing a cationic cellulose derivative, chitosan, acid for partial or complete neutralization of the chitosan and a suitable solvent. The weight ratio of the cationic cellulose derivative to the chitosan is less than 2. The composition is either provided with a propellant or is foamed with a mechanically operated foam-making device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for microderm abrasion. In particular, the invention employs micro-sized particles that may be impacted into mammalian skin. The particles may, themselves, include an active agent that is to be delivered through the stratum corneum, or an active agent may be delivered through the abraded stratum corneum. The stratum corneum may be abraded by active agents or topical compositions formed into particles, hyperbaric particles, or other means.
Abstract:
A cosmetic is provided that contains a powder that exhibits a shininess characteristic of a metal film and yet is not prone to leaching out of metal ions, whereby the cosmetic is not prone to causing discoloration or degeneration, and is not prone to bringing about a metal allergy. The powder contained in the cosmetic is comprised of a base material, and a metal film and a metal oxide film formed in this order on the base material.
