    摘要: A bone plating system invention is shown comprising a bone plate and bone fasteners. The bone plate has a top portion, a bottom portion, and an interior middle portion. The fastener-retaining passageway extends through the plate. The fastener-retaining passageway comprises an upper portion having an inwardly projecting capture lip. The capture lip has a first diameter. The fastener-retaining passageway also has a middle undercut portion that has a second diameter. The second diameter is larger than the first diameter. The plate also has at least one access channel extending through the capture lip so as to communicate with the interior middle portion of the plate. The fastener comprises a shaft, a fastener engager means extending from, disposed on or coupled with the shaft for engaging bone and a head mounted on the shaft having a radially elastic member.

    摘要: An artificial knee joint, which makes a drag (a contact stress) acting on a sliding surface upon bending small so as to evade an extraordinary abrasion and damage of a sliding surface of a tibia component and which prevents an bending angle from being decreased by preventing lifting of a femoral component in a rotational movement. The artificial knee joint comprises a femoral component to be secured to a distal portion of a femur and a tibia component to be secured to a proximal portion of a tibia, comprising an inner sliding surface and an outer sliding surface receiving a load of the femoral component at the tibia component. In the inner sliding surface, both of a front side and a rear side are formed in a sectional shape of circular arc in the front-to-back direction thereof, while in the outer sliding surface, a front side is formed in a sectional shape of a circular arc and a rear side is formed in a linear sectional shape in the front-to-back direction thereof.

    摘要: A radial head replacement system includes a radial head replacement, an apparatus for guiding the resection of a radial head, and a kit including bone plug and bone plug insertion instrument. The radial head replacement has a separate adjustable head portion that may be secured on an implanted stem such that the implanted radial head replacement smoothly interfaces with the capitellum of the humerus. In another form, the radial head replacement uses crossed bone screws that serve to more securely anchor the stem of the radial head replacement in the intramedullary canal of the radius. The resection guide includes a movable cutting guide which ensures a precise resection of the radial head and thereby allows for better positioning of the implanted radial head replacement. The bone plug limits the travel of bone cement beyond the area of affixation of the stem portion of a radial head replacement to the radius.

    摘要: Disclosed is a device and method of bicompartmental arthroplasty of the knee. The device permits arthroplasty of the medial or lateral and patellofemoral compartments of the knee while leaving the opposite compartments and the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments intact. The device provides a femoral prosthesis component that includes a trochlear surface and a tibial prosthesis component which can be secured to the tibia. The femoral component is essentially nullunull shaped having an anterior leg upon which the trochlear surface is positioned and a posterior leg which engages the posterior surface of the distal end of the femur. The femoral component also has a convex articulating surface which engages a concave articulating surface of the tibial prosthesis component to approximate the articulation of a healthy knee.
