Abstract:
A track hanger (100) includes a hook (103) and an extension (104), a base member (102), and a key (403). The key is detachable from the hook, and the base member is detachable from the extension. The key can include a first major surface (401) and a second major surface (402). The first major surface can define one or more barbs (404) that facilitate one-way insertion of the key into a track (106).
Abstract:
An adjustable privacy screen has a length-adjustable support member that can be wedged between adjacent walls. The support member may include locking telescoping tubes, and optionally, semi-rigid brace members that may be bent to wedge the device between adjacent walls. An opaque privacy drape is releasably attachable, e.g., by adhesive or mechanical fasteners, to the support member. A sensor mounted on the support member is operable to cause a signaling device on the support member to provide an alert signal to a caregiver upon detection of a predetermined condition by the sensor. The sensor may also be operable to cause a mechanism to operate to release the privacy screen from its position wedged between adjacent walls. One or more legs may be releasably attachable to the support member.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for the hanging of textiles, such as, for example, curtains, with a holding element, which can be fastened onto a fixed structure, a counterplate securely attached onto the holding element, a pressure plate fastened in a hinged manner onto the holding element, wherein the pressure plate with the counterplate forms a clip for purposes of securing the textiles, and with an electromagnet, which operates together with an armature plate so as to close the clip. A particularly low level of noise generation can be achieved by mounting the armature plate on the holding element and coupling it by means of an adjustable connecting element with the pressure plate, and by arranging the mounting of the armature plate on the holding element between the mounting of the pressure plate and the adjustable connecting element.
Abstract:
A mounting is disclosed for securing in place a sheet (56) which constitutes a liner, cover or curtain. The sheet has an elongate attachment zone (60) which is thicker than the material of the sheet. The mounting including a clip (10.2) which is formed with an elongate hollow portion (12) having a longitudinal slit (14) along the length thereof. The attachment zone of the sheet is in the hollow portion of the clip with the sheet emerging from the clip through the slit. A cord (62) is connected to a lashing point (64). The clip (10.2) has a passageway (40) through which the cord (62) passes thereby to attach the clip and the attachment zone to the lashing point.
Abstract:
We provide a securement apparatus or clip including a flexible unibody member that allows two sides of the clip to be separated, allowing the clip to be placed around a rod to support a curtain. Each part of the clip that is in contact with the rod includes a point of minimal contact with the rod, designed to reduce friction and to help maintain the clip on the rod.
Abstract:
The invention provides a device for use in association with fabric structures. The device comprises a member for sealing engagement with the fabric structure. The member has an inner rigid portion and an outer flexible portion, contiguous to said inner rigid portion. The flange may be affixed to the fabric of the structure, so as not to shift relative to the fabric, by bonding the outer flexible portion of the flange to the fabric of the structure. Mountable to the inner rigid portion is means for supporting a suspended object. The means for supporting a suspended object is adapted to be sealed, that is, it may be made water-tight. The means for supporting a suspended object comprises support means mountable to the top side of the inner rigid portion of the member, support means mountable to the bottom side of the inner rigid portion of said member, and securing means adapted to extend through the member so as to couple the support means on one side of the member to the support means on the other side of the member.
Abstract:
A fastener for a detachable mounting of flexible sheets, comprises a pair of molded members of synthetic resin which are detachably interconnectible to each other with the sheet gripped between them. One molded member is the base part and is adapted to be attached to a substrate and has an outstanding spike for passing through the sheet. The spike has a cylindrical stem, an annular flange, and a conical spike tip at its outer end. The other molded member is a slip-on member comprising a two-legged clamping fork, the legs having a least internal spacing from each other which is less than the diameter of the cylindrical stem of the other member, and a plurality of pairs of opposed recesses disposed along the confronting edges of the legs. Also, the thickness of the forked member tapers and is least at its free end. Thus, when sheet material is impaled on the spike, the forked member can then be slid over the sheet material with the legs embracing the stem of the spike, the stem of the spike snapping into successive pairs of opposed recesses until the flange on the spike and the thickness of the grasped sheet material, prevent further movement of the forked member.
Abstract:
An improved opening closure system utilizing a plurality of curtains supported in a way to cover the opening with alternate embodiments having primary and secondary curtains acting as a thermal siphon and with fan units as a power air destratifier.
Abstract:
A two-piece assembly is provided for attaching sheet material, such as polyethylene film, to greenhouses and the like. An elongated base member is secured to a support and includes a channel longitudinally therealong for receiving a portion of the sheet material therein and which also receives a material holding element having a transverse configuration corresponding to that of the channel, the member and the element cooperating to releasably clamp the portion of the material in the channel. The element is nested in the channel in a manner such that no further tension on the material or further clamping is necessary to insure a positive holding action. The element is further designed to facilitate easy removal or replacement of the sheet material without the use of special tools or screwdrivers. The two-piece assembly is further designed to facilitate the adjustment and/or repositioning of the material upon partial rotation of the material holding element relative to the channel defining base member without the necessity of removing the material holding element or completely releasing the material.
