Abstract: A modular component fishing rod system that allows the end user to easily and securely change one or more of the handle portion and rod blank. The system includes a rod blank, rod sleeve assembly and a slide-on handle assembly. The rod sleeve assembly performs at least three functions including: 1) truing up the taper of the fishing rod blank to allow components of the handle assembly to be slid onto the rod blank from the butt end; 2) providing an indexing or key feature which registers with the handle assembly to maintain proper alignment between the handle assembly and rod blank; and 3) providing a method to attach the handle assembly to the rod sleeve. The handle assembly includes a corresponding female sleeve that mates with and preferably slides over the rod sleeve assembly and performs at least three functions including: 1) attaching a handle tube which includes a handle grip and reel seat to a the rod sleeve assembly; 2) matching indexing features; and 3) fixing the handle assembly to the rod sleeve assembly through one of a number of possible fastener assemblies.

Abstract: A branch fishing rod assembly for creating a fishing rod out of a branch or stick includes a reel holder apparatus, a reel, and a plurality of eyelet apparatuses. The reel holder apparatus comprises a holder body and a pair of holder clamps coupled to the holder body to secure the holder body to a branch or a stick. The reel is selectively engageable within a reel opening of the holder body. The plurality of eyelet apparatuses each comprises an eyelet clamp to selectively engage the branch or the stick. An attachment arm is coupled to the eyelet clamp strap and an eyelet is coupled to the attachment arm. The reel is configured to secure a fishing line and the plurality of eyelet apparatuses is configured to receive the fishing line through each eyelet.

Abstract: An adjustable fishing rod butt includes a first elongate member hingeably attached to a second elongate member. The first elongate member includes an opening on a bottom surface thereof extending at least into an interior thereof, and an alignment locking member secured about the opening on the bottom surface thereof. The alignment locking member includes an opening coaxially aligned with the opening in the first elongate member. Abstract: A waist wearable fishing kit enabling impromptu fishing includes a strap and a fishing rod. A first and a second coupler, which are complementary, are coupled to a first and a second end of the strap, respectively.
