    Abstract: An arbor stake stabilization member and erosion control system using the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the erosion control system, a tapered stake and a stake stabilization member work in tandem to secure and stabilize the soil. The stabilization member features an annular ring made from a biodegradable material, an axial passageway for stake placement, and a non-biodegradable locking member for secure stake connection. The erosion control system also includes a plate extending outwardly from the annular ring.     Abstract: The invention provides a composite load bearing member, such as a pole, which can be built for any specific design load with the objective of low cost to replace wood support applications for similar loads, typically up to 10 ton yield support load. The member has at least two layers but may also comprise of three layers for applications where UV protection and flame retardancy is paramount. The inside layer consists of a thermoplastic pipe of low cost, preferably HOPE, PET or PVC. The thermoplastic may or may not contain a flame retardant. The next layer consists of a thin fibreglass pipe as shell for the thermoplastic to enable strength. This fibreglass pipe will be tight fitting on the thermoplastic since the thermoplastic can be used as mandrel for the fibreglass pipe which can be manufactured by pultrusion or pullwinding or fibreglass fabric rolling. The fibreglass resin can be phenolic, epoxy, polyester or vinylester.

    Abstract: A plant holder having an elongated base body several passages extending transversely to the base body for receiving wire-shaped fasteners for plants, and a clamping device disposed on one end of the base body for affixing the plant holder on a holder to be fastened in the floor or on a wall. The base body has latching protrusions associated with the passages for detachably fastening an end of the wire-shaped fastening means that is bent away and extends substantially parallel to the base body. The wire-shaped fastener for the plant can thus be easily and very rapidly attached to the base body and detached again, without requiring a tool or other resources. With the clamping device, the base body of the plant holder can be quickly attached to a rod or tube with a large holding force and just as easily detached again, also without the use of tools.
