A mechanism is provided to fix the position of the wedge portion relative to the base portion after the door moves from the open to the closed position during assembly of the vehicle.

The latch member engages the drawer frame in its locked position and includes a body to which a spring is mounted for biasing the latch member upwardly into engagement with he drawer frame. The latch member has a ramp along which a slide member moves. The slide member is connected to a rod which, in turn, is connected to a drawer knob. When the knob is pulled forwardly, the latch member is moved downwardly against the force of the spring to disengage the latch member from the frame to enable the drawer to be opened.
