    摘要: A door locking device for a household appliance is provided. The door locking device includes a base member that has a receptacle; a closing element on a door side that is moved into the receptacle when a door of the household appliance is closed; a control unit; an electrical switch that is switched over in a closed position of the closing element and via which an information signal signaling the closed position of the closing element is transmitted to the control unit; and an interlocking device to mechanically interlock the door. The mechanical interlocking of the door is facilitated in an interlock position of the closing element and the closing element is moved from the interlock position into the closed position when the door is closed.

    摘要: A locking enclosure includes a base, a cover mounted on the base, and two locking members assembled on the cover. A plurality of supporting recesses and two supporting portions are defined in the base. A plurality of barbs are formed on the cover to match with the supporting recesses, and two elastic arms are assembled on the cover to engage with the supporting portions, whereby the cover is restricted to move relative to the base, and is secured on the base. The locking members each comprise a resisting portion abutting a corresponding elastic arm. The resisting portion can be operated to make the elastic arm disengage from the supporting portion, to remove the cover from the base.

    摘要: A latching mechanism for a pedestal closure assembly has a pair of substantially channel-shaped slots, each slot having two arms, a flanged base and first and second ends. Each flanged base has a cam-like edge and is connected to the second end of each respective slot. The cam-like edge interconnects the upper and lower surfaces of the flanged base. A pair of legs adapted to be received by each slot are also included in the claimed latching mechanism. Each leg has a limiting edge and includes an end portion adapted to limit the motion of the legs when they are received in the respective slots. At least one flexible latch arm adapted to engage the flanged base of at least one of the slots is connected to one of the legs. Each latch arm includes a finger element beyond the end portion of the limiting edge of the leg. The finger element includes an engagement portion which abuts the lower surface of the flanged base of the leg when the leg is received in its respective slot. The finger element has a cam-follower surface which bears against the cam-like edge of the slot which flexes the latch arm allowing the engagement portion to move beyond the cam-like edge of the flanged base of the slot so that the latch arm engages the flanged base. Thus, the slot is configured and dimensioned to slidingly receive each leg. The latching mechanism and the pedestal closure assembly can be constructed of non-metallic material. Each leg of the latching mechanism can contain a spacer bead and a transverse flange, each flexible latch arm can include an integral lip, and each slot can contain a guide rail. All of these are included to keep the legs more firmly secured in the slots when the latching mechanism is engaged. Additionally, the pedestal closure assembly can have a service wire passageway with a channel slot which allows the internal equipment to be worked on without having to interrupt service and without having to unearth the lower housing section.

    摘要: Two parts (120, 160) can be mated and secured from relative movement in three different orthogonal directions or planes by the use of a novel, two piece, plastic fastener structure. The snap fastener has an integral interlocking tab (170) that serves to constrain the movement in a third direction or plane. The snap fastener additionally consists of an operative component (110) and a securing component (150). The operative component has a resilient member (112) that deforms to receive a catch member (152) on the securing component when the operative component and the securing component are snapped or mated together. One of the two components contains an opening (180), while the other contains a body portion shaped more or less like a tab or tongue which is capable of being inserted within the opening when the two components are mated. When so inserted, the relative movement of the two components is restricted in three directions, without the use of a remotely located securing means.

    摘要: A door latch formed of transparent elastic plastic is disclosed. The latch has an elastic plastic band with a base segment adapted for mounting on a door and a catch segment flexibly attached to the base segment and extending angularly outward therefrom to project transversely beyond the base segment. The band also has a striker segment flexibly attached to the catch segment and extending angularly outward therefrom and transversely to a position outlying the base segment, and also a return portion flexibly attaching the striker segment to the base segment. The band is adapted to flexibly deform when pressed against a door jamb to selectively engage the jamb. The latch may also have a stiffening rib of plastic material rigidly affixed to the base segment within the band to act to restrict the deflection of the band when the band is pushed against a door jamb. This latch is useful as a transparent latch for a transparent display case.

    摘要: A door guard to deter unauthorized entry that includes a pair of complimentary structural members having complimentary cross-sectional configurations to define interlocking portions that will engage to secure the free end of the door to the adjacent door frame. One of the complementary members is secured along the free end of the door and the other member is secured to the adjacent door jamb or frame. The arrangement is such that any effort to force the door as with a prying tool, will cause the interlocking portions to engage and thereby prohibit the door from being force opened. In another form of the invention, the complementary members are arranged and constructed to deter the forcing of the door latch.
