Abstract:
A punch down tool includes a handle unit including pivoted grip and trigger, and a replaceable punch down block, which includes a carrier detachably attached to the top end of the grip, a cutter block detachably fastened to the top end of the grip to secure the carrier to the grip and holding a set of punch-down elements and a pair of cutter blades and a slide block slidably coupled to the carrier to carry a jack and a network cable for processing and forcible by the trigger against the cutter block to have the core wires of the network cable to be punched into the jack by the punch-down elements and cut off by the cutter blades.
Abstract:
A tool that strips and twists or “pigtails” the ends of electrical wires in residential or commercial installations is disclosed. The invention uses the rotation of a drill or driver to strip and twist the wires quickly and perfectly, not overtwisting, ensuring a sound connection and maximum mobility of the connection.
Abstract:
A wire termination and cutting tool, RJ jack and RJ jack and tool termination system is provided with the tool having a cutting module support portion and an RJ jack support portion connected to the cutting module support portion for relative movement with respect to a pivot point. An RJ jack is connected to the RJ jack support portion. The RJ jack includes wire termination locations each with an insulation displacement contact (IDC) with a cutting/clamping slot. A cutting module is connected to the cutting module support portion. The cutting module includes cutting blades for cutting wires and wire insertion parts. An actuator applies force for in curved relative movement of the cutting module support portion with respect to the RJ jack support portion. The cutting module support portion is aligned with the RJ jack at an end of the curved relative movement whereby the wire insertion parts are aligned with slots of corresponding insulation displacement contacts of the RJ jack.
Abstract:
A hand tool is operable to crimp a tubular metal contact member concentrically about the stripped end portion of an insulated fiber optic light-wave conductor in spaced relation to the free end extremity thereof. A tensioning arrangement tensions the excess portion of the conductor that extends beyond the contact member, whereupon a cutting device engages the tensioned portion of the conductor to sever cleanly the excess extremity from the conductor. The tensioning arrangement serves to deflect the conductor excess end portion obliquely outwardly relative to the longitudinal axis of the conductor. Tensioning is achieved by a deflecting disk positioned normal to the longitudinal axis of the light-wave conductor, or by a guide bore contained in a conductor guide device attached to the tool body. Preferably, two contact members are simultaneously crimped on a pair of conductors, and the excess ends of the conductors are simultaneously tensioned and severed.
Abstract:
A hydraulic pressing and/or cutting tool (1) comprises an electric motor (6), a converting mechanism (8) suitable to convert the rotary motion of the motor (9) to an oscillating translational motion, a hydraulic pump (11) suitable to carry out, in response to the oscillating translational motion, an increase in the pressure of a pressure fluid acting on an operating piston (12) such that the operating piston (12) is displaced, a stationary jaw (13) and a movable jaw (14) connected to the operating piston (12) such that, in response to the displacement of the operating piston (12), the movable jaw is displaced to the stationary jaw (13) to carry out pressing or cutting operations. The converting mechanism (8) comprises an epicycloidal gear (16) and a thrust unit (17) co-axial with the epicycloidal gear (16).
Abstract:
A contact magazine loader for guiding the insertion of individual electrical contacts into a crimping section of a crimping tool. A magazine is adapted to be placed in removable and rotatable engagement with a hand-held crimping tool. The magazine is approximately cylindrical, has a plurality of channels evenly dispersed around the radial periphery of the magazine, and is preloadable with electrical contacts. Each preloaded electrical contact is positioned within an individual insert casing. Each insert casing is adapted to being linearly slideably received into one of the channels. As a shuttle assembly is moved into compressed configuration, an insert casing guides the preloaded electrical contact into the crimping section of the hand-held crimper. A trigger assembly allows a user, with a single movement, to cause the shuttle assembly to return to its released configuration, and to rotate the magazine to axially align a subsequent casing with the crimping section of the hand held crimper.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a punch-down tool blade suited for seating, and seating and cutting data transmission and telephony wires into crowded patch panels. Also disclosed are embodiments of an elongated punch-down tool blade having a slidable locking collar which may be used in reversibly locking a punch-down tool blade with either the seating tip being used as the working tip or the seating and cutting tip used as the working tip without compromising both the ability of the tool tip to gain access to terminating clips or the tradesman's visibility of terminating clips so that patch panels may be efficiently and accurately wired while providing enhanced safety and decreased worker fatigue.
Abstract:
A mounting apparatus includes a base and at least one pair of shoe plates. The shoe plates are formed on a top surface of the base. Each of the shoe plates comprises a plurality of grooves respectively on top surfaces thereof for holding at least one connector. It is simple and economical to using the mounting apparatus for holding a connector during a wire wrapping process.
