    Abstract: Means for regulating the air-fuel mixture ratio in a fuel delivery system. The present invention departs from other known fuel delivery systems in that the air flow is scheduled as a function of the operator''s selected fuel flow. In conventional systems the fuel flow is scheduled as a function of the operator''s selected air flow. Fluidic technology is utilized in a preferred embodiment for the sensing, computation, and actuation of the required variables.

    Abstract: A fluidic fuel injection system is illustrated and described having fluidic means to modulate the duration of the normally generated injection pulse. The pulse extender receives the normally generated injection pulse and applied that pulse through gating means to the fuel injection controlling device. The pulse extender also receives a signal indicative of an engine operating parameter such as for instance, an engine temperature, and stores a signal which is a function of the duration of the normally generated injection controlling pulse and the engine variable. Following termination of the normally provided injection controlling pulse, the stored signal is then communicated to the fuel injection controlling devices to provide for prolongation, in a predetermined controlled manner, of delivery of fuel.

    Abstract: A fluid amplifier is used as an internal combustion engine fuel metering element, receiving fuel for both main and control fluid streams from a pump having an output flow proportional to engine speed so that the metered fuel output from the amplifier increases upon an increase in engine speed. The control fluid stream of the amplifier is regulated by a manually adjustable valve and by a valve responsive to induction system vacuum so that the metered fuel output from the amplifier increases upon an increase in manifold pressure.

    Abstract: A fuel control system utilizing proportional fluidic amplifiers wherein the primary control is responsive to mass airflow derived from a venturi in the engine intake manifold. The invention is particularly characterized by the addition of compatible fluidic enrichment devices superimposed on the primary control. One enrichment device utilizes a saturable fluidic amplifier sensing manifold vacuum as a control parameter to provide selective enrichment under full power conditions. Another enrichment device develops a derivative signal proportional to the rate of change of manifold vacuum to provide a temporary fuel augment during acceleration. Idle bleed means are provided to modify the mass airflow to fuel relationship during idle conditions.

    Abstract: The disclosure illustrates a fuel viscosity sensor incorporated in a fuel control system for a gas turbine engine to assure a constant engine power output irrespective of fuel viscosity changes. The viscosity sensor comprises a proportional fluidic amplifier having a laminar flow element, series connected with one control jet. The fluidic amplifier is connected to the pressurized fuel supply and its output is proportional to the fuel viscosity. The pressure output from this amplifier is used to correct a flow-metering device for viscosity changes.
