The error signal is used to generate a corrective control action signal, which is combined with a feed-forward signal representing a nominal duty cycle generated with a feed-forward function. The combination of the feed-forward signal and the corrective control action signal provide the duty cycle control signal.

Electrical malfunctions in a network which are caused by torque fluctuations of an electric motor, in particular flicker, are reduced by using a control device. For simple and cost-effective minimizing or even correction of such malfunctions with the control device, the control device has at least one first input for supplying an input signal which contains information suitable for determining the loading of the network by torque fluctuations and at least one output for transmitting an output signal to at least one converter supplying the electric motor. This makes it possible to reduce or ideally to eliminate electrical malfunctions in a network which are caused by torque fluctuation of the electric motor.

A control circuit suppresses the counter system actual fraction. A feedback loop determines the level of suppression of the counter system actual fraction with the help of controlled parameters. The method enables an adjustment of the counter system that is largely independent from operating staff. Accordingly, a comparator unit compares the counter system actual fraction to the counter system target fraction and defines the controlled parameters as a function of the comparison.
