Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a cable laying method that enables efficient work.
A cable laying method according to the present invention includes: preparing a structure 31 having a hook 32; fixing a cable 50 to the hook 32 attached to a surface of the cap-type structure 31 on the ground in the vicinity of a pole 11 built on the ground 10; lifting the structure 31 up to the vicinity of a tip of the pole 11; and covering the tip of the pole 11 with the structure 31. This cable laying method eliminates the need to work in high places. This cable laying method is efficient because it eliminates the need to work in high places.-

Abstract: An anti-rotation device is provided for stringing a cable or wire while reducing a twisting moment of the cable or wire as it is strung. The device includes a tow component, having multiple tow sections pivotally connectable end-to-end. A plurality of insulated weighted tails are suspended so as to hang from the tow component. Each of the tails include weighted tail sections releasably connectable end-to-end to one another. At least one electrically insulated tail section is provided in each tail between the tow component and at least some of the weighted tail sections. The tails are constrained to only articulate relative to the tow component in the single plane of bending of the tow component.

Abstract: A clamp for suspending a wire is provided. The clamp includes a base having a support surface that defines a first boundary of a wire receiving region. The clamp includes a keeper having an elastomer lining that defines a second boundary of the wire receiving region. The clamp includes means for providing force to at least one of the keeper or the base such that, when the wire is in the receiving region, the elastomer lining is pressed against the wire to provide a static retaining force, as a function of the force, on the wire to retain the wire relative to the clamp and permits sliding of the wire relative to the clamp when a pulling force on the wire exceeds the static retaining force and remains within a designed slip force range.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing a bundle of wires to a surface via a clamp assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a clamp, such as a P-clamp, that may be mounted to a support before installing a bundle of wires. The clamp includes first and second clamp members that cooperate to form an opening through which the wire bundle extends. The first and second clamp members may be engaged with and disengaged from one another without a tool. In some embodiments, the P-clamp includes a snap-in mechanism with a clip and a corresponding housing. In some embodiments, the clamp includes an inner cushion that allows the clamp to accommodate a range of wire bundle diameters.

Abstract: An electrical isolator includes a flexible non-electrically conductive membrane and an inelastic flexible dielectric member journalled in the membrane and extending from the first end of the membrane to the second end of the membrane. First and second coupling members are anchored to the ends of the dielectric member. The ends of the membrane are mated in sealed engagement with the coupling members so that the coupling members fluidically seal the ends of the membrane and fluidically seal the dielectric member within the membrane. The membrane is filled with a dielectric fluid so as to displace any air in the membrane and the dielectric member. The coupling members are adapted to couple to objects at opposite ends of the electrical isolator.

Abstract: An antigalloping device can include first and second clamps, each having a respective jaw for clamping to respective first and second cables. A connecting assembly can be coupled between the first and second clamps. The connecting assembly can include an elongate insulator attached to a flexible tether. The flexible tether is capable of being bent and maneuvered during installation. At least one of the first and second clamps can be rotatably coupled to the connecting assembly. The at least one of the first and second clamps can be orientatable in a position transverse to the longitudinal axis for being rotatable between the position transverse to the longitudinal axis and a position inline with the longitudinal axis, under opposed tension exerted on the jaws of the first and second clamps, for twisting at least one of the first and second cables for reducing galloping.

Each roller member has an elongate and generally cylindrical configuration situated adjacent the groove of the outer face of the rim and configured to maintain the conductor cable in the groove.
