    摘要: A device for monitoring and indicating a fuse tube detachment from a fuse cutout assembly contains a structural body, a tilt switch, a power source, a visual indicator, and an attachment mechanism. The attachment mechanism is used to mount the device onto the fuse tube. The tilt switch monitors the position of the fuse tube. More specifically, when the vertical position of the fuse tube changes to the dropped position the tilt switch is triggered. Thus, the visual indicator is illuminated. The illumination aids in the process of discovering the detached fuse tube. In addition to the visual indicator, the device can also be equipped with a wireless communication device and an alarm system. The wireless communication device can be used to provide the exact location of the detached fuse tube. On the other hand, the alarm system can be used to expedite the process of discovering the detached fuse tube.

    摘要: An in-line cable termination system for use with first and second electrical power transmission cables includes an isolating apparatus having an isolating apparatus axis and including an electrically conductive first end member and an electrically conductive second end member, first and second insulators, and a fused switch mechanism. The first end member and the second end member are spaced apart along the isolating apparatus axis. Each of the first and second end members includes a respective coupling portion to mechanically and electrically engage the first and second cables, respectively. The first and second insulators each extend between and couple the first end member and the second end member. The fused switch mechanism includes a fuse module and is configured to selectively alternatively electrically connect the first and second end members, and thereby the first and second cables, through the fuse module and disconnect the first and second end members.

    摘要: A mounting for a circuit interrupter is provided that facilitates the easy removal and insertion of the circuit interrupter. The mounting includes upper and lower terminal and support arrangements that cooperate with upper and lower device mounting studs of a circuit interrupter. The device mounting studs also function as electrical circuit connection points to connect the circuit interrupter in an electrical circuit via respective upper and lower contact assemblies of the mounting. The upper and lower contact assemblies include resilient retention facilities for providing suitable electrical contact forces when engaged with the device mounting studs. The upper and lower terminal and support arrangements retain the circuit interrupter within the mounting and are selectively operable to release the circuit interrupter for removal from the mounting. Each of the terminal and support arrangements include a latch arm that is moved to release the respective device mounting stud from a retained holding position to a latch release position. The mounting also includes a resilient guiding member that cooperates with one or more of the latch arms to retain the circuit interrupter in a latched released position after operation of the latch arm. The resilient guiding member includes a protruding arm that acts against the device mounting stud as the latch arm is moved outwardly to release the device mounting studs.

    摘要: An electrical cutout is disclosed for electrical connection between a line terminal and a load terminal. The cutout includes an insulator having a first and a second end. A first electrical conductor is rigidly secured to the first end of the insulator, the first conductor being electrically connected to the line terminal. A second electrical conductor is rigidly secured to the second end of the insulator, the second conductor being electrically connected to the load terminal. A fuse tube extends between the first and the second conductors and a fuse link extends through the fuse tube and includes a first and a second end. The second end or pigtail of the fuse link is electrically connected to the second electrical conductor. A cap is disposed adjacent the first end of the fuse link, the cap being electrically connected to the first end of the fuse link such that the cap frictionally cooperates with the first conductor. A linkbreak lever for breaking the fuse link is pivotally connected to the second conductor such that when the linkbreak lever is pivoted away from the fuse link in a plane extending through the ends of the insulator and the fuse tube, the moment created by the force required to break the fuse link is opposite in direction and less than the moment resulting from the retentional force between the first conductor and the cap.
