    摘要: Steam generators in power plants exchange energy from a primary medium to a secondary medium for energy extraction. Steam generators includes one or more primary conduits and one or more secondary conduits. The conduits do not intermix the mediums and may thus discriminate among different fluid sources and destinations. One conduit may boil feedwater while another reheats steam for use in lower and higher-pressure turbines, respectively. Valves and other selectors divert steam and/or water into the steam generator or to other turbines or the environment for load balancing and other operational characteristics. Conduits circulate around an interior perimeter of the steam generator immersed in the primary medium and may have different cross-sections, radii, and internal structures depending on contained. A water conduit may have less flow area and a tighter coil radius. A steam conduit may include a swirler and rivulet stopper to intermix water in any steam flow.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for improving the efficiency and performance of a steam driven power plant wherein addition of steam handling equipment to an existing plant results in a surprising increase in plant performance. For Example, a gas turbine electrical generation system with heat recovery boiler may be installed along with a micro-jet high pressure and a low pressure mixer superheater. Depending upon plant characteristics, the existing moisture separator reheater (MSR) can be either augmented or done away with. The instant invention enables a reduction in T.sub.hot without a derating of the reactor unit, and improves efficiency of the plant's electrical conversion cycle. Coupled with this advantage is a possible extension of the plant's fuel cycle length due to an increased electrical conversion efficiency. The reduction in T.sub.hot further allows for a surprising extension of steam generator life. An additional advantage is the reduction in erosion/corrosion of secondary system components including turbine blades and diaphragms. The gas turbine generator used in the instant invention can also replace or augment existing peak or emergency power needs. Another benefit of the instant invention is the extension of plant life and the reduction of downtime due to refueling.

    摘要: A method for producing electrical power from steam generated by a nuclear reactor comprising the steps of: providing a nuclear reactor engaged to a steam generator for generating steam when heated aqueous product is passed therethrough; and passing heated aqueous product through the steam generator to produce steam. The method additionally comprises passing the produced steam through a fossil fired or steam to steam superheater to superheat the produced steam; and passing the superheated produced steam through a first turbine to expand the superheated produced steam and produce steam. The produced steam from the first turbine is subsequently reheated to obtain a reheated steam. The obtained reheated steam is then passed through a second turbine coupled to a generator in order to expand the obtained reheated steam and generate electrical power with the generator. An apparatus to accomplish the method for producing electrical power from steam generated by a nuclear reactor.

    摘要: In a gas/steam power station plant, which consists essentially of at least one fossil-fired internal combustion engine (2), at least one steam circuit (1) and at least one heat exchanger (3), the heat exchanger (3) connected downstream of the internal combustion engine (2) is fed with exhaust gases (27) from the internal combustion engine (2). Together with a number of steam turbines (12, 13), the steam circuit 1 has a generator (14), a series of other auxiliary units (15, 16) and a water-cooled reactor (11) which produces an amount of saturated steam (B) from an amount of preheated feed water (C) treated in the heat exchanger (3) and fed to it. This amount of saturated steam is thereupon fed to a superheat stage (A) in the heat exchanger (3), where the actual final treatment of the steam takes place.
