Abstract:
In a disc changer provided with a driving force transmission mechanism using a crank arm, the size of the crank arm is reduced as much as possible and the smooth movement of the tray is realized. The crank arm (7) is rotated by a driving force of a drive motor (5). The crank arm (7) has a distal end (71a) connected to a guide groove (100) formed at the tray (1). When the crank arm (7) rotates, the distal end (71a) moves along the guide groove (100). When the distal end moves through a left end curve (120) or a right end curve (130) at opposite ends of the guide groove (100), the rotational force of the crank arm (7) is transmitted to the tray (1), whereby the tray (1) performs open/close movement. The guide groove (100) has a bow shape made up of an arcuate intermediate curve (110), and the left end curve (120) and the right end curve (130) which are curved opposite to the intermediate curve (110), so that the force to be transmitted to the tray (1) changes continuously. Therefore, the smooth movement of the tray (1) and the size reduction of the crank arm (7) are possible.
Abstract:
An optical disk changer that is capable of automatically playing both sides of a dual-sided optical disk. By coordinated rotation and delivery of disks taken from a linear disk storage bin, both sides of a dual-sided optical disk can be automatically accessed.
Abstract:
A disc player and changer mechanism adapted for use in a jukebox comprises a disc carrier which has a clamping arm movably mounted thereto, a translating tower and a drive system operable to move the carrier and/or the translating tower. The clamping arm includes a first disc engaging portion at one end thereof, which is positioned substantially opposite to a second disc engaging portion of the disc carrier. The disc carrier is slidably mounted on the translating tower and the clamping arm is movable as the disc carrier is moved on the translating tower such that the first disc engaging portion moves to contact an edge of a disc while the second disc engaging portion correspondingly contacts the edge of the disc substantially diametrically opposite of the first disc engaging portion. The disc is thus positively secured between the first and second disc engaging portions and may be transported from its initial position to a disc playing mechanism in a conventional manner. Preferably, the translating tower includes a magnetic hub assembly which is mechanically operable to engage a magnetic hub with the disc as the disc is positioned substantially adjacent to the player mechanism. The magnetic hub assembly is pivotally attached to the translating tower and operable by a stationary extension contacting a portion of the magnetic hub assembly as the translating tower approaches the disc player mechanism.
Abstract:
A disk changer apparatus for selectively reproducing a plurality of disks has a disk delivery unit arranged on the front of a stocker tray for holding a plurality of disks and adapted to move along the direction in which the disks are arranged on the front of the stocker tray. By depressing an eject button providing an operating unit for the disk delivery unit, a push-up lever advances into the stocker tray from a bottom opening of the stocker tray. As a result, a disk held in the stocker tray is taken out forward of the stocker tray by the rotation of the push-up lever, and is retained by a disk receiving lever of the disk delivery unit.
Abstract:
A disc changer device includes a housing section, a transporting unit, a recording and/or reproducing unit and a movement unit. The housing section houses a number of discs, such as compact discs, with a pre-set distance between neighboring discs, in a state in which disc surfaces face one another. The transport unit holds one of the discs in the housing section from the direction of disc thickness for transport between it and the recording and/or reproducing unit. The recording and/or reproducing unit records and/or reproduces the disc transported from the housing section by the transporting unit. The movement unit moves at least one of the discs positioned in the housing section and held by the transporting unit in a direction away from the disc held by the transporting unit when holding the disc from the direction of disc thickness out of the housing section by the transporting unit and/or when returning the disc by the transporting unit into the housing section.
Abstract:
An automatic disk changer includes: a casing having a front wall in which an opening through which a number of disk are inserted into the casing, and a disk inserting slit are formed in such a manner that the slit is adjacent to the opening; a disk inserting swing tray which is swingably provided in the slit; and a locking mechanism which locks the swing tray in association with the mounting of a disk, which has been inserted into the casing with the aid of the swing tray, on a player body with the aid of a loading mechanism and a disk mounting mechanism.

Abstract:
A disk changer apparatus for playing back a plurality of disks selectively has a disk transfer unit including a forward feed lever 107 for taking out disks 2, 3 from under a stocker tray 1, and a rearward feed lever 110 for transferring the disks 2, 3 to a disk playback unit 102. A designated disk 2, 3 held in the stocker tray 1 is taken out from under the stocker tray 1 by the forward feed lever 107, and then the disk 2, 3 is transferred to the disk playback unit 102 by the rearward feed lever 110.
