Abstract: Systems and methods for extracting data views from heterogeneous data sources in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a method to be performed by a computing system. The method includes receiving first data comprising one or more first data fields associated with corresponding first values, receiving second data comprising one or more second data fields associated with corresponding second values, wherein at least one of the one or more second data fields corresponds to at least one of the one or more first data fields. The method further includes associating one or more of the one or more first data fields and one or more of the one or more second data fields to one or more standard data fields and generating a data view based on the one or more standard data fields.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to deriving a set of key ranges. A computer system receives a database query to be executed against a database having a database table that stores records associated with keys. The database query specifies a set of conditional expressions that affect which ones of those records are returned. Based on the set of conditional expressions, the computer system derives a set of key ranges. The deriving can include representing the set of conditional expressions as a set of key spaces, performing a set of logical operations on pairs of those key spaces to reduce a number of key spaces in the set of key spaces, and converting the set of key spaces into the set of key ranges after performing the set of logical operations.

Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for providing record data to an application extension associated with a native application at a client device. One method involves a cross-platform service receiving, from the native application, a query for record data associated with a record at a database system on behalf of the application extension, determining a data source for retrieving the record data based at least in part on a configuration of the native application, converting the query into a transformed query having a different format associated with the identified data source, retrieving the record data from the identified data source using the transformed query, and providing the record data to the application extension via the native application, wherein the application extension is configurable to generate a component of a graphical user interface display using the record data.

Abstract: The present technology provides for facilitating removal of undesired search results. In one embodiment, a search request including a search term(s) to use for performing a search is obtained. Thereafter, a search query is generated to execute the search. The search query includes the search terms and a removal parameter indicating a particular search result to exclude from search results returned in response to the search request. A set of search results are provided for display via a user device. Such a set of search results can be identified based on execution of the search query and exclude the particular search result.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to implementing synthetic identifiers (IDs) for a non-relational database. A server system may operate a database, which includes receiving requests to access records of the database using synthetic IDs. But the database may be searchable using natural IDs. The server system may receive a request to insert a record. In response, the server system may obtain, from a first instance of multiple ID generator instances that implement a distributed ID generator service, a synthetic ID generated based on an identifier assigned to the first ID generator instance. The server system may insert the record with the synthetic ID and a natural ID that corresponds to one or more values of the record. The server system may cause the synthetic ID and the natural ID to be stored in an index of the database to enable the record to be accessed via the synthetic ID.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a non-opaque, abstract, unified query language that exposes the query as a first-class citizen of the underlying architecture. The present disclosure thus facilitates the creation of no-code or low-code applications by enabling a level of collaboration between components that may be difficult to achieve if the language employed were opaque to the architecture. The disclosed query language may be considered “SQL-like,” which may allow contributors familiar with structured query language (SQL) to effectively participate in the design of an application. The defined structures of a data objects of the non-opaque query language described herein are not-hidden and inspectable.
