Abstract:
The object of the invention is to provide a toner enabling excellent transferring properties, cleanability, and fixability and forming a high-precision image without substantially degraded image quality even after printed on a number of sheets of paper. The invention also provides the toner-production method, an image forming apparatus, an image forming method, and a process cartridge. To this end, the present invention provides a toner which comprises toner-base particles containing a binder resin and a filler, and inorganic fine particles, in which the filler is included in a filler-layer in the vicinity of surfaces of the toner-base particles, the number average particle diameter of the primary particles of the inorganic fine particles is 90 nm to 300 nm, and the average circularity of the toner is 0.95.

Abstract:
A toner for forming an electrophotographic image is disclosed. The toner comprises (1) colored particles comprising a resin and a colorant, (2) fine resin particles comprising a polymer formed by condensation of melamine and formaldehyde, and have a volume average diameter of 0.01 .mu.m to 1.0 .mu.m, and (3) fine particles of an inorganic material (I) having a volume average diameter of 0.01 .mu.m to 0.20 .mu.m and a standard deviation of distribution of the volume average diameter G satisfying the condition of 10.ltoreq..sigma..ltoreq.30. It is particularly preferred that the toner is used as a tow componet developer together with a negatively chargeable carrier which comprises (1) magnetic core particles each coated with a coating layer comprising a mixture of homopolymer of an alicyclic methacrylate monomer and a homopolymer of an acyclic methacrylate monomer, or a copolymer of an alicyclic methacrylate monomer and an acyclic methacrylate monomer, and (2) a fine particles of an inorganic material (II).
Abstract:
An electrophotographic toner includes toner parent particles containing a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent; and an external additive added to the surface of the toner parent particles. The toner further includes positively chargeable silica and polymer beads in addition to large particle diameter silica, small particle diameter silica and titanium oxides. Thus, the toner can maintain its charge quantity and distribution stably even during environmental changes and after long image printing times, thereby preventing the contamination of the non-image part and the filming.

Abstract:
An electrophotographic developing agent is provided. The electrophotographic developing agent includes toner particles and an external additive. The toner particles include a binder resin, a colorant, and a charge control agent. The external additives which are added to the toner particles include a large-diameter silica having a primary average particle size of about 20 to about 200 nm, a small-diameter silica having a primary average particle size of about 5 to about 20 nm, a hydrophobic titanium oxide, and a polymer bead. The electrophotographic developing agent can maintain a stable charge and charge distribution of the toner over a long period due to the addition of the external additives. The external additives prevent the fogging and the image contamination in a cycle of a charging roller.
