    Abstract: A coolant pump that includes: a rotating slide ring, which is arranged on the pump impeller towards an axial end of the entry opening; a static slide ring, which is arranged on the pump housing around the mouth of the inlet opposite the rotating slide ring; the rotating slide ring has a sliding surface and the static slide ring has a sliding surface, the sliding surfaces are facing one another and form a sliding bearing that receives a force directed axially away from the pump impeller to the pump housing; and a microstructure for creating a hydrodynamic lubricating film between the sliding surfaces is formed on at least one of the sliding surfaces facing one another, the microstructure includes cavities that collect liquid coolant on the at least one sliding surface.

    Abstract: A progressive vortex pump comprises an inlet housing in contact with the pumped fluid, a pump housing connected to the inlet housing, and an outlet housing connected to the pump housing and connected to a pumping pipe. The pump housing comprises a disc-shaped rotor having a central bore and a rim with vanes. Each rotor comprises at least one through hole along the axial direction, the through hole being positioned between the central bore and the rotor rim. Advantageously, the presence of a through hole on the rotor enables, under operating conditions, fluid exchange from the posterior fluid film to the anterior fluid film, thus promoting a pressure balance between the posterior and anterior fluid films, therefore enabling the rotor to work evenly, preventing rubbing on adjacent diffusers.

    Abstract: A press-fit bearing locking system, apparatus and method is described. A press-fit bearing locking system includes a diffuser having a diffuser groove on an inner diameter (ID), a bushing comprising an outer diameter (OD) press-fit into the grooved ID of the diffuser, the OD of the bushing having a bushing groove tracing a path of the diffuser groove, and a high thermal expansion material (HTEM) key seated within the bushing groove. A press-fit bearing locking method includes seating a HTEM key inside a groove on an OD of a bushing, press-fitting the bushing with HTEM key into a diffuser such that the bushing groove is opposite a groove on an ID of the diffuser, operating an electric submersible pump assembly including the diffuser during a temperature rise, and allowing the HTEM key to expand into the diffuser groove during the temperature rise to lock the bushing against the diffuser.
