摘要: Some methods of production hydrocarbons from a formation comprise drilling two or more horizontal wellbores in the formation, at least a portion of each extending in a direction that is within 20 degrees of parallel to a direction of maximum horizontal stress of the formation. The horizontal wellbores can include one or more producer wellbores and one or more injector wellbores, each of the producer wellbore(s) separated from at least one of the injector wellbore(s) by a formation-permeability-dependent well spacing. Some comprise comprising creating one or more longitudinal fractures that are in communication with the formation in each of the horizontal wellbores, injecting a recovery fluid comprising gas into at least one of the injector wellbore(s) such that the recovery fluid flows into the formation, and receiving hydrocarbons from the formation into at least one of the producer wellbore(s).

摘要: Various examples are provided related to airlift pumping of downhole geothermal fluids. In one example, an airlift system includes a compressor; a gas sparger head in a wellbore of a geothermal well, and a pressure head recycle assembly. The sparger head produces artificial lift of the geothermal fluids by injecting a gas resulting in a difference in density downhole. The entrained gas can be extracted by the pressure head recycle assembly, compressed, and reinjected downhole. The geothermal fluid at the well head can be used in direct use applications or in a thermodynamic cycle to make shaft power. The gas sparger head can include a venturi shaped passage extending through the gas sparger head and a bubble orifice including gas orifices radially spaced about a narrow portion of the venturi shaped passage. The gas orifices can have a corresponding resonant chamber through which the gas (e.g., air) is provided.

摘要: A monitoring system operable to monitor an oilfield additive system having multiple components. The oilfield additive system is operable to transfer an additive-containing substance for injection into a wellbore. The monitoring system includes sensors each associated with, and operable to generate information related to an operational parameter of, a corresponding one of the oilfield additive system components. The monitoring system also includes a monitoring device in communication with the sensors and operable to record the information generated by the sensors to generate a database. The database includes information indicative of maintenance aspects of the oilfield additive system and/or the oilfield additive system components.

The system also includes a multi-layer cement arrangement external to the casing, where the multi-layer cement arrangement focuses emitted current to a target region of the downhole formation. The system also includes a data processing system that receives measurements collected by the one or more electric field sensors in response to the focused emitted current, wherein the data processing system models the subsurface electric field based on the received measurements.

The corrected drill angle is determined by at least one of a slant angle data and a formation property data received from a sensor device. The drill guidance device, the method to control a trajectory of a drill, and the non-transitory computer readable medium can be implemented in a measuring while drilling model to provide live guidance during a drilling operation or a predictive model to plan prior to the start of a drilling operation. The corrected drill angle is acted upon by a drill controller to maximize the productivity of an oil reservoir.
