    摘要: A thermally enhanced extrudate includes a channel, a first wall, and a second wall. The channel extends along a longitudinal axis from a first end to a second end of the thermally enhanced extrudate and is shaped to receive glass or a frame. The second wall is spaced from the first wall. The first wall and the second wall partially enclose a thermal break extending along the longitudinal axis. The thermal break has a first width defined between the first wall and the second wall at an upper end of the thermal break and a second width defined between the first wall and the second wall at a lower end of the thermal break. The thermally enhanced extrudate further includes a solid insulation material in the thermal break between the first and second walls and formed by curing a flowable material.

    摘要: A folding device as room closure has a frame and a chain of panels arranged therein. The panels are pivotably connected by alternate first and second hinge arrangements and foldable from a stretched-out closed position into an open accordion fold arrangement. First hinge arrangements are guided on guide rails of the frame; second hinge arrangements are deflected away from the frame. In the closed position, the panels are sealed relative to each other and to the frame by frame seals extending at least partially along a sealing plane. An adjusting strip in front of a lateral frame part is adjustable to adjust a spacing between adjustable strip and lateral frame part for spatial adaption to an adjacent panel. The adjusting strip has a sealing contact surface aligned with the sealing plane and resting against a seal arranged on the lateral frame part and extending into the guide rails.

    摘要: A method to cast-in-place thermal barriers to create a hollow tubular extrusion is disclosed herein. Clips, configured to engage and lock with a first and a second extrusion profile, maintain a pocket with precise tolerances into which liquid polyurethane is poured. The clips easily engage in a manner to form a hollow tubular extrusion assembly. Once the assembly is made, it becomes very difficult to take the assembly apart. This feature allows the first and the second extrusion profiles to be cut to length or handled without the potential of the assembly coming apart prior to pouring the liquid polyurethane. Once the polyurethane cures, there is no need to remove the clips because the clips are made from a very low conductance material, and the clips can remain as part of the finished product thus saving the expense of removing and discarding the part.
