Abstract: The invention disclosed herein also provides a temporary protective containment barrier system for use during construction and demolition, wall members, noggins, ceiling joists, and in some embodiments, horizontal floor panels positioned perpendicularly at a lower boundary of the vertical wall panel, a temporary protection system for a stair, and free-standing tunnel modules. Each wall member includes one vertical wall panels secured to an interior area of a vertically adjustable stud member, thereby creating a vertical partition. Wall members are comprised of vertically adjustable stud members, each with an outward cantilever integrated at an upper boundary. The outward cantilever extends perpendicularly away from each adjustable stud. Each vertically adjustable stud member is connectable to a neighboring stud member by the noggins. Each outward cantilever is connectable to a neighboring outward cantilever by ceiling joists.

Abstract: A protective cover, for shielding a cavity having an opening formed in a wall, floor, or ceiling, during a construction process from ingress of unwanted material is disclosed. The protective cover comprises a cover portion for covering the opening and at least one securing portion for holding the cover portion in place, wherein the at least one securing portion comprises at least one respective coupling portion configured for mutual engagement with a corresponding feature within the cavity whereby, when the at least one coupling portion and the corresponding feature within the cavity are mutually engaged, application of a force to extract the cover from the cavity causes the corresponding feature within the cavity to apply an opposing force to the at least one coupling portion to inhibit extraction of the protective cover from the cavity.

Abstract: A protective barrier that will typically be installed beneath ceilings during construction work being performed on ceilings or roofs of buildings. The protective barrier can be comprised entirely of one material or of different materials connected by seams. Some or all of these materials can be designed to fail when contacted by water via dissolution, melting or through some other destructive process initiated by contact with water. Some or all of the materials comprising the protective barrier can be designed to fail at a certain temperature. This failure can create access points from the ceiling through the protective barrier to the area being protected by the barrier, which can allow water from a fire suppression system to reach a fire located below the protective barrier.

Abstract: A universal wraparound cover fastening system wherein the cover includes opposed ends mated with a fastening system. The fastening system includes a dual hook spring mechanism, with a first end affixed to an attachment point on the cover, and the opposite end hook mated with an extender. The extender includes at least one eyelet for attaching to the dual hook spring and a hook opposite the eyelet for mating with an attachment point on an opposite end of the cover around a step. The extender may include one or more eyelets along its length. Eyelets may include a single curl, or multiple coils. The wraparound cover can therefore be fitted over numerous side supported step types and sizes with varied extenders to minimize needs to provide additional attachment points on the step covers.

Abstract: An oval cover member is formed of high density polyethylene and sized to cover a pocket in which a lift member is secured to a pre-cast concrete structural member. The cover member can be secured to the lift member by a cable tie threaded through the opening of a first protrusion, back through a smaller opening in a second protrusion and pulled to draw the cover member tightly against the concrete structural member. The opposing protrusions form a valley therebetween for the positioning of the lift member. The size of the smaller opening in the second protrusion is too small for the passage of the head of the cable tie, enabling the cover member to be tightly secured to the lift member. A peripheral channel in the cover member can receive a gasket or adhesive that can seal the cover member against the surface of the concrete structural member.

Abstract: A wraparound cover for a step or a seat includes rods on opposed ends beneath the step and tie wraps engaging the rods through holes in the opposed ends to secure the cover to the step. Each opposed end may be bifurcated into two parts to accommodate a riser supporting the step. In such configuration, a rod and holes are formed at each of the parts to accommodate tie wraps for drawing the rods in opposed parts of the opposed ends toward one another to secure the wraparound cover about the step or the seat.
