摘要： A bale opener for detaching fiber tufts from a top surface of a fiber bales series includes a tower for travel along a series of fiber bales in a direction of travel; a detaching device supported by the tower and including a rapidly rotating detaching roll; an arrangement for vertically moving the detaching device relative to the tower; an arrangement for angularly moving the detaching device about a horizontal axis oriented perpendicularly to the direction of travel; and a bale transporting device for advancing the fiber bales in a horizontal feed direction. The bale transporting device includes a conveyor belt and first and second end rollers supporting the conveyor belt. The first end roller is situated downstream of the second end roller as viewed in the horizontal feed direction. There is further provided a control arrangement for operating the conveyor belt to advance the fiber bale series in the horizontal feed direction and for simultaneously positioning the detaching device immediately above the downstream end roller upon completion of a working pass of the bale opener in a direction coinciding with the horizontal feed direction.

摘要： A circular textile fiber bale opener with a goosenecked transition from separately chambered dual plucker rolls provide for larger laydown area and greater production. The transition causes uniform air velocity at the top of the fiber bales across the full length of the plucker rolls. Plucked fibers from the transition are delivered through a centrally disposed hollow shaft for delivery downstream. The shaft carries electrical collector rings with which are associated brushes which rotate with the opener for completing connections between the external and internal wiring required for the apparatus.

This has the advantage that flocks can be removed from the bales not only in the horizontal direction but also in an inclined direction. 摘要： An arrangement for extracting fiber flocks from textile fiber bales includes a fiber flock extraction member which passes between and projects to a predetermined extent beyond respective grid bars which rest on the bale surface during the extraction operation, for the extraction member to extract the fiber flocks from the surface layer of the bale. The extent to which the extraction member extends beyond the grid bars can be adjusted in dependence on the fiber type. To achieve this, the grid bars are movable with respect to the extraction member by respective screw-threaded spindles. This adjustment is performed under the control of a suitable control system, especially a microprocessor, such that the extent of projection of the extraction member beyond the grid bars is automatically accommodated to the fiber type of each bale or bale group from which the fiber flocks are to be extracted during a particular extraction operation.

摘要： A fiber bale opener includes a truck arranged for back-and-forth movement along a traveling path, for removing fibers from bales arranged along the traveling path. The bale opener further includes a stationary suction duct extending in the direction of the travelling path and having a throughgoing slot on one side thereof, extending parallel to the traveling path. A flexible cover belt extends over the slot for sealing the inside of the duct from the environment and defining an interstice within the truck. The interstice travels with the truck and provides a passage for the fiber to pass inside of the suction duct. A deflection roller is fixed to the truck and the cover belt is positioned above the slot and is divided into an upper and lower section with the lower section covering the longitudinal slot. The cover belt has one end fixed at one end of the traveling path and is guided around the deflection roller. A device for winding and unwinding the cover belt is provided which includes a rod or tube shaped core around which the cover belt can be wound and the upper section of the cover belt extends from the deflection roller to the winding and unwinding device.
