    摘要: The invention concerns a process and a device for the combined conveyance and volume measuring of liquids. The conveyance is performed by imparting an overpressure or, respectively, a negative pressure to the liquid by means of a pressurized or depressurized gas cushion. A piston movable in a cylinder which is connected with a receiver containing the liquid exerts either a constant overpressure upon a gas cushion above the liquid to drive the liquid through a line connected with the receiver, or it exerts a constant negative pressure upon the gas cushion to draw the liquid from the line into the receiver. The transported volumes of the liquid are determined by the volumina covered by the piston in the course of its displacements in the cylinder.

    摘要: A self-contained, portable liquid chemical supply tank storage and transfer unit includes an external support shell having upper and lower support shell sections concentrically joined to one another. The upper support shell section includes diametrically opposed upright arms which define therebetween a generally U-shaped space in which the transfer system is positioned. The lower support shell section houses a liquid chemical storage tank. The transfer system includes a metering canister fluid-connected to the liquid chemical within the storage tank, a selector valve assembly and a pump (preferably a manually-actuated hand pump). Operation of the pump will allow liquid chemical to be drawn from the storage tank and into the canister. The liquid chemical in the metering canister may then be transferred (e.g., via gravity or another pump) to another tank, for example, a mixing tank associated with an agricultural spray implement.

    摘要: A storage vessel, such as a compartmented vacuum tank or a plurality of vacuum tanks, is connected to a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump is used to produce a vacuum in each compartment of a multi-compartmented vacuum tank or in each tank of a plurality of vacuum tanks such that a suction nozzle extending from each compartment of a compartmented vacuum tank or from each of a plurality of vacuum tanks can remove various operating liquids from fill ports of a salvage vehicle. The liquids are segregated according to type of liquid and fill a compartment of a multi-compartmented vacuum tank or a tank of a plurality of vacuum tanks to a level at which the vacuum to the compartment or tank is terminated by a float valve. During evacuation of the tank compartments or vacuum tanks, fumes drawn off through the vacuum line from the fluids in the compartments or tanks are fed through the vacuum pump to a discharge line and forced towards a vent to the atmosphere. Prior to atmospheric venting, a portion of the collected fumes are drawn off by a bleed line and delivered to an air intake manifold of a gasoline engine which powers the vacuum pump. Accordingly, a portion of the evacuated fumes are burnt within the power source, such as a gasoline engine, used to drive the vacuum pump.
