摘要: A device that opens the flap of an envelope before the envelope is separated from the envelope supply/stack hopper. A vacuum/suction device is used to pull the envelope flap below a stripping surface before the envelope is fed out of the supply/stack hopper. Thus, the envelope flap will be completely opened as each envelope is individually separated and fed out of the hopper.

摘要: Apparatus for stripping a single envelope from a stack of envelopes without misfeeding or double feeding is provided. The apparatus includes a picker blade which is articulated by a drive to impart of plurality of motions to the leading edge of an envelope after the picker blade has been engaged under the flap of an envelope to be separated from a stack of envelopes in a magazine. The novel stripping action of the picker blade ensures that the leading edge only of the envelope to be fed from the magazine is first stripped and separated from the stack of envelopes and directed past a restrainer which prevents the stack of envelopes adjacent the envelope to be fed from being moved in a feed direction.

摘要: At one side of a stack of printed products or the like there are provided entrainment elements which are mounted at a revolving or orbiting driven chain or equivalent structure. Each entrainment element is inserted at one side of the momentarily lowermost printed product of the stack between the sheets of such printed product and comes into contact with the folding edge or spine of such printed product. By further moving the entrainment element the lowermost product is pulled out from beneath the stack while turning or rotating the same at the region of the product corner at which engages the entrainment element. The thus freely exposed region of the folding edge or spine of the lowermost product then comes to lie between two rolls or rollers of a product removal device, one of these removal rolls being driven. Both of these rolls pull the seized product out of the bottom of the stack in the product removal direction and place such upon two outfeed conveyor belts or bands. With this destacking apparatus it is possible to faultlessly process folded or bound printed products of appreciable thickness and without damaging such products.

摘要: Feeder apparatus for folded newspaper sections which has particular utility in the case of a relatively thin outer section which receives a number of stacked inserts causing the total supplemented section to be of substantial thickness. The apparatus includes a hopper which supports an upright stack of the sections with their hinge-like fold lines facing the direction of delivery. A shuffle plate forming the floor of the hopper along with retractable newspaper engaging pins reciprocates laterally of the stack and, during its forward stroke, carries the lowermost newspaper section in the stack therewith to partially withdraw the section from the stack. A pair of blades reciprocating on opposite sides of the plate in timed relationship therewith, slip between the folds of the section and engage the fold line of the section after slight initial movement of the lower half of the newspaper jacket section by the plate and pin structure. Continued movement of the blades at a faster rate than the plate causes the section to be moved relative to the plate and effect introduction thereof by the blades between feed rollers which complete the withdrawal of the section from the stack. The retractable pin structure on the plate engages the lowermost supplemented newspaper section only during the forward stroke of the plate to assure movement of the section therewith and retracts during the return stroke to prevent engagement with the next section in the stack.

摘要: A cloth clamping device includes a clamping mechanism that comes into contact with a cloth and an up-and-down movement mechanism that moves the clamping mechanism up and down. The clamping mechanism includes a support portion, a leg portion, a foot portion, and a clamping portion. The clamping portion has a leading end portion facing the foot portion in a sideway direction and a base end portion being pivotally supported by the support portion. When the leg portion is lowered with respect to the support portion, the leading end portion pivots downward and is positioned in a sideway direction with respect to the foot portion, and when the leg portion is raised with respect to the support portion, the clamping portion comes into contact with the upper surface of the cloth and the leading end portion is positioned above the foot portion, and the clamping mechanism draw up the cloth.
