摘要: One aspect of the present invention provides a sheet feeding device and an image forming apparatus, in which a sheet can stably be separated and fed irrespective of stiffness of the sheet. A movable wall includes a sheet abutting surface that separates the sheet one by one by abutting on the sheet, which is stacked on a tray and fed by a feeding roller. The movable wall is movable in a sheet feeding direction, and a force applying spring applies a force to the movable wall in a direction opposite to the sheet feeding direction. A support portion supports the movable wall such that the movable wall is movable, and such that the movable wall is sloped when abutting on the sheet, which is fed by a feeding roller, and moving on a downstream side in the sheet feeding direction against an applying force of a force applying spring.

摘要: A vacuum feeding mechanism for a document handling apparatus, the feeding mechanism comprising: an adjustable pick for separating a stack of documents from a downstream transport system; a rotatable wheel connected to a vacuum port and operable to pull a document by suction from the top of the stack toward the wheel and move the document over the pick to the downstream transport system; the wheel and the pick being separated by a clearance distance; means for determining adjustment coordinates in dependence upon characteristics of a document in the stack; wherein the position of the pick is automatically adjustable in two independent dimensions in dependence upon said adjustment coordinates.

To this end, one portion of the magazine contents consists of gas-impermeable film-like or sheet-like materials whereas another portion contains film-like or sheet-like materials that are each provided with at least one gas-permeable zone. The invention develops a method for grouping film-like or sheet-like materials during which a number of film-like or sheet-like materials can be grouped without impairing the speed of subsequent processing.

摘要: A cooking backsplash assembly includes a pair of mounts that is each attachable to a vertical support surface at a location positioned over a cooking stove. A roller is positionable in the mounts when the mounts are mounted to the vertical support surface. The roller is biased to rotate in a first direction and the roller is urgeable to rotate in a second direction. A screen is wrapped around the roller when the roller rotates in the first direction. The screen is urgeable downwardly to urge the roller to rotate in the second direction to facilitate the screen to cover a wall located behind the cooking stove. The screen is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to protect the wall from cooking splatter. Additionally, the screen is comprised of a heat resistant material to resist being burned by heat from the cooking stove.
