The inner member is threadably engaged to the neck of the container body and is supported for movement between a first threaded position and a second threaded position relative to the container body. The outer member depends from the cover member and extends at least partly about the inner member and an axis. The outer member includes a tamper-evident member that includes an abutment member configured to engage with the projection to limit movement of the cap from the first threaded position to the second threaded position. Also, the tamper-evident member is permanently deformable to disengage the projection and allow movement of the cap from the first threaded position to the second threaded position.

摘要： A cap for a medication container includes a housing with a top portion and a bottom portion. The top and bottom portions together define a cavity therebetween. A sliding plate is disposed in the cavity adjacent the bottom portion. A microcontroller with a contact sensor is disposed in the cavity between the top portion and the sliding plate. The sliding plate is configured to slide toward and activate the contact sensor where the cap is secured to the medication container in a closed state. The sliding plate is also configured to slide away from and not activate the contact sensor where the cap is removed from the medication container in an open state.

摘要： A push and turn child resistant closure is provided which includes a combined over cap and under cap, the under cap freely rotational within the over cap and the combined closure installed on the container. For removal of the combined closure, both downward and counter-clockwise rotational force is applied to the over cap, the rotational force imparted on the under cap more readily by utilization of a friction ring at the engagement area between the over cap and the under cap while also having an outer gripping ring of highly frictional material making it much more easily rotatable and graspable by a user. The use of a highly frictional material more readily imparts rotational force on the under cap when utilized as depicted herein.

The closure has a base wall, a skirt with at least one internal thread adjacent to the base wall for engagement with the at least one external thread to thread the closure onto the finish, at least one internal locking lug spaced from the base wall, and an annular wall extending from the base wall at a position spaced radially inwardly from the skirt for resilient internal engagement with the open mouth of the container. The at least one internal locking lug is engageable with the at least one external radial projection when the closure is fully threaded onto the finish of the container and resiliency of the annular wall holds the at least one internal locking lug in axial engagement with the at least one external radial projection.

摘要： A tamper-indicating child-resistant package includes a container having a finish with an open mouth and an external circumferential bead spaced from the mouth. A closure has a skirt for externally encircling the container finish, a tamper band frangibly connected to the skirt for positioning beneath the external circumferential bead on the container finish, and a spring element for engaging the finish and biasing the closure away from the finish. The finish and the skirt have interlocking elements that resist removal of the closure from the finish absent force against the spring element to disengage the interlocking elements. Engagement of the tamper band with the external circumferential bead ruptures the frangible connection of the band to the skirt upon first removal of the closure from the container finish to indicate potential tampering with the package.
