    摘要： This relates to a lock arrangement for locking together closure panels of cartons, particular cartons of the wrap around type. The lock arrangement includes a primary lock panel which carries a primary lock arrangement including a projecting primary locking tab which is disposed on one side of a semicircular cut out or aperture and wherein there is a locking ear on the opposite side of the aperture. The other closure panel, which is the inner closure panel carries a secondary lock arrangement which includes a secondary locking tab which is connected to the secondary flap along a hinge line and is separated therefrom by an offset partial cut line so as to define a locking shoulder.When the lock arrangement is formed, the primary locking tab is locked behind a shoulder on the inner closure panel defined by the displacement of the secondary flap and the primary locking tab extends through the aperture and is locked behind the locking ear. The primary locking tabs and the secondary tabs are disposed in side by side relation with the secondary locking tab projecting generally normal to the closure panels and projecting between adjacent containers so as to hold the containers apart. The secondary flap is of a width at least equal to the overall width of the primary lock arrangement.

    摘要： This relates to a closure panel and lock arrangement for cartons of the wrap around type. There are two features. In lieu of the usual primary lock, an outer closure panel is merely provided with divider tabs which extend through suitable apertures in an inner closure panel and extend between articles disposed in adjacent rows within the carton. The inner closure panel may be provided with a female locking slot for receiving the divider tab. There is a locking arrangement similar to the customary secondary lock and utilizing a male locking member of the usual type. However, there is provided a separate female locking slot in the inner closure panel immediately adjacent its folded connection to a side panel of the carton with the female locking slot being formed by a single knife arrangement forming cut lines without the removal of material and the shapes of the cut lines being such to provide for automatic opening of the female locking slot when the inner closure panel is folded relative to the adjacent side panel and defining flexible locking ears which will lock behind shoulders of the male locking tab.

    摘要： A system for packaging cans or similar articles which is characterized by a wrap-around style blank of paperboard, or other suitable sheet material, which is cut and scored to divide it into wall forming panels adapted to be wrapped about a row of the articles, so as to form an open ended tubular carton, with the blank having hinged terminal end panels in the form of narrow strips which are interleaved and secured so as to cooperate with adjoining panel portions in forming one of the carton walls, the end panels being seated by a hinging movement which draws the panels into tight wrap formation and which engages primary locking tabs on the terminal edge of the one end panel in cooperating locking apertures disposed at the hinge line of the other end panel while hinged secondary locking tabs which are cut from the material adjacent the hinge line of the one end panel are engaged in cooperating locking apertures which are cut in the material of the wall panel to which the other end panel is hingedly connected.

Slits in the outer bottom panel flap extending from the openings receive remaining portions of the locking tabs.

    摘要： This relates to a closure panel and lock arrangement for cartons of the wrap around type. The customary secondary lock includes at least one, and preferably two, male locking tabs which have a locking projection on one side only of a narrow neck and defining a locking shoulder. The male locking tab is associated with a separate female locking slot in an inner closure panel immediately adjacent its folded connection with a side panel of the carton wherein the female locking slot is formed by a single knife arrangement forming first and second cut lines without the removal of material. The shapes of the cut lines provide for automatic opening of the female locking slot when the inner closure panel is folded relative to an adjacent side panel and there is defined a flexible locking ear which will lock behind the shoulder of the male locking tab.
