Abstract:
A process for packaging a product in which a hood is fitted to a tray. The hood top is oriented at an angle relative to the machine direction in which the tray is being conveyed. The hood is engaged with the tray by initiating contact between a leading panel of the hood with the tray while the leading panel is moving before engaging the trailing panel with the tray. As the tray is conveyed in the machine direction, the tray captures a hood by the leading panel of the hood and the remainder of the hood is subsequently fitted to the tray.
Abstract:
A packaging apparatus for articles to be packaged includes: a transport system having a transport direction for the articles to be packaged and a plurality of rigid transport elements pulled in a sequence and extend transversely to the transport direction, each one having a plurality of seats defining a predefined pattern; a packaging station, arranged along the transport direction transport, having a stationary support structure and a packaging system with a plurality of operating devices each one being arranged in a predetermined position with respect to the other operating devices, each of the operating devices able to carry out a packaging operation on a corresponding article to be packaged at the transit of the respective transport element near the packaging station; and a movement mechanism, integral with the support structure, rigidly moving at least a part of the operating devices with respect to corresponding seats of a single transport element.
Abstract:
Time required for initial operation and operation immediately after wound body replacement is shortened. A packaging device packages an object to be packaged using a wound body. An elongated sheet-shaped packaging material is wound into the wound body. The wound body includes a recording medium that stores information. The information recorded in the recording medium includes remaining amount information indicating a remaining amount of the packaging material in the wound body. The packaging device includes a drive unit that generates driving force in order to rotate the wound body, an information reader that reads the remaining amount information stored in the recording medium, and a controller that controls the packaging device. The controller sets a rotation speed of the wound body based on the remaining amount information read by the information reader.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of operating an apparatus for applying drinking straws to packaging containers. The method comprises the steps of performing a first portion of a motion cycle by moving at least one applicator arm from an application position to a leaving position, said first portion being equal for successive packaging containers. The method also comprises performing a second portion of the motion cycle by moving the at least one applicator arm from the leaving position back to the application position, said second portion being adjusted to fit the pitch between successive packaging containers. The invention also relates to an apparatus operated by the method.
Abstract:
A letter number specifying unit specifies a letter number of a sealed letter to be informed to a user, based on a content of a transfer error detected by an error detector. A searching unit searches a letter-number-specific print content table, in which letter number identification information for identifying each letter number, and print content information indicating a content of an image to be printed on a sheet which forms the sealed letter of each letter number are associated with each other, and finds the print content information associated with the letter number identification information of a letter number identification code read by a code reader from the sheet which forms the sealed letter of the letter number specified by the letter number specifying unit. An information displaying unit displays the print content information found by the searching unit on a display.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a packaging machine which seals a cover-film at a tray, which has been previously filled with a packaging item, whereas the packaging machine comprises an upper tool and a lower tool which are pressed together during the sealing of the cover-film to the tray, and which comprises a sensor to detect misalignment of the packaging item in the tray, a misaligned tray in the lower tool between the upper and the lower tool prior to and/or during the sealing of the cover film to the tray.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a clipping device for closing at least one closure means, like a closure clip, in a packaging machine, for closing tubular or bag-shaped packaging casings as well as a method for controlling a clipping device. The clipping device comprises a first closing tool and a second closing tool, wherein at least the first closing tool is reversibly movable towards the second closing tool, between an opened position and a closed position, for closing the at least one closure means and a drive means for reversibly moving at least the first closing tool towards the second closing tool in a closing direction. In the inventive clipping device, a monitoring device is provided in the region of the second closing tool for monitoring the second closing tool being prepared for the next clipping cycle.
Abstract:
A system is provided for filling and sealing bags and is especially useful with woven polybags formed of thermoplastic material. The system includes a plastic welder having a folding device for folding over a portion of the filled bag which is sealed by a welding tip and pinch rollers. The welding tip may be moved between welding and non-welding positions based on a bag sensor or timer. A contact prevention member prevents the welding tip from contacting and damaging a coating on a portion of the bag. The system is configured to form a substantial seam without using hot melt adhesive.
Abstract:
When replacing film rolls, a film holding mechanism fixedly holds a film of a pre-replacement film roll. At the same time, a film suction mechanism holds a film by suction. A film storing mechanism pulls the end of the film up to the film suction mechanism. Furthermore, the end of the film that is held by the film suction mechanism by suction and the head of the film of the post-replacement film roll are joined using an adhesive tape. Also, once it is detected based on the output from the load cell that the film has been entirely unrolled, the control device stops the operations of an items supply portion and motor. Accordingly, the items that have been supplied to a bag-manufacturing and packaging portion from the items supply portion at the time the items supply portion is stopped are packaged using film stored in a film storing mechanism. Then, the control device stops the operation of the bag-manufacturing and packaging portion.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a first transfer unit instead of a stationary chute. The first drive unit drives the first transfer unit and is controlled to maintain a bag ejection interval or bag posture. Thus, variation of the bag-to-bag pitch and bag posture even in a high-speed operation with an improved bag-forming capacity is prevented.
