The coupling mechanism includes a spring adapted to provide resistance to compression and tension about a neutral position of the spring.     Abstract: A four-wheeled motor vehicle constructed by operatively coupling two exclusively configured left and right longitudinal side structures by plural, transversely positioned connecting and bracing members. Each side structure operatively supported by its own front wheel adapted for steering and rear wheel adapted for propelling the vehicle. Each of the connecting members comprising a longer mid-portion positioned transversely between the two longitudinal sides, and two shorter end-portions which are secured to correspondingly positioned structurally rigid sections of them. Steering system operatively couples the two front wheels of the two sides for steering thus coupled vehicle. A propulsion plant propels at least one of the wheels. All operating controls are configured for safe and legal operation of the vehicle by its driver. The longer mid-portions of said connecting members support body panels positioned intermediate the two side structures, vehicle floor and seats. The basic configuration is adaptable to be combined into variously configured, open, closed and convertible vehicle bodies.     Abstract: A camper unit attachable to the side of a motorcycle. The unit includes a camping portion mounted on a frame portion attachable to the side of a motorcycle. The floor of the camping portion is comprised of a plurality of panels hingedly connected which fold together to form a box-like structure for transport to and from a camping location. The hinges connecting the panels are mounted in grooves provided in the ends of the respective connected panels for strength and obscurity. A tent provides the shelter for the camping portion. Jointed tent poles serve also as support members for the floor. Removable legs are provided for further floor support. A portion of the floor is supported by the wheel attached to the frame. Hitch means connecting the camper unit to the motorcycle is adjustable whereby the camper unit may be attached to a wide variety of motorcycles of different manufacture and model. The camper unit is adaptable to be trailed behind a snowmobile or a small automobile.

    Abstract: The specification discloses axle extension apparatus for wheeled vehicle apparatus which, in one preferred form, may comprise a main wheeled vehicle and an auxiliary wheeled vehicle adapted to be attached so as to have a main axle of the main vehicle transversely substantially coaxially aligned with an extension axle of an auxiliary vehicle for simultaneous rolling movement and in a manner which is substantially rigid in a horizontal plane but provides vertical flexibility so as to allow the twowheeled vehicles to have a limited extent of relative vertical pivotal movement with respect to each other as they simultaneously ride along an elevationally irregular terrain. In one preferred form, the main vehicle may comprise a tricycle and the auxiliary vehicle may comprise a tricycle sidecar, and connection and coupling frame means may also be provided connecting same together in a manner providing rigidity in a horizontal plane but limited vertical flexibility for the abovementioned purposes. The apparatus is such a to make it possible to attach such an extension axle and tricycle sidecar to any tricycle either at the time of manufacture or subsequently.
