摘要： A bicycle hub quick-release axle has a shaft. A thread for fixing the shaft in a threaded bore in a dropout is provided at the first end of the shaft. A lever element for screwing the thread into/out of the threaded bore is provided at the second end of the shaft. A receiving space for the lever element is provided within the shaft. The lever element can be pulled out of the receiving space. The lever element when pulled out of the receiving spaced is connected to the shaft via holding elements. By this arrangement, simple screwing-in/unscrewing of the shaft is possible with the aid of the lever element.

The axle member is at least partially hollow, and includes a first end portion, a second end portion and a vehicle body engagement portion. The vehicle body engagement portion is provided to the second end portion for engaging a bicycle frame. The head member is disposed on the first end portion. The lever member is configured to turn the head member around an axis between a first position and a second position. The lever member presses the head member from the first end portion to the second end portion by being turned from the second position to the first position. The adjusting member is provided inside the axle member for adjusting an axial position of the head member.

The apparatus further includes a lever rotatably coupled to the main body proximate to the open end thereof, and the lever includes a locking recess selectively aligned with the open end of the main body. The apparatus also includes a resilient member enclosed within the main body between the closed end thereof and the first end of the shaft of the bayonet component, and the resilient member biases the bayonet component toward the lever. The bayonet component engages the locking recess to inhibit rotation of the lever relative to the main body.
