Abstract:
An apparatus facilitating the lifting and movement of objects. The present invention, in one embodiment, features a curved rim extending around a mounting plate to which an object or an object carrier can be attached. The object is mounted off-center relative to the central axis of the curved rim. According to the invention, a counter-balancing weight offsets the moment associated with the object to allow the moving device to roll along a surface, and thereby move the object, with application of a small amount of force. According to embodiments of the present invention, the curved rims include at least one section having an increased radius of curvature relative to other sections of the curved rim to promote rotation of the moving device.
Abstract:
A hand truck for carrying and lifting a load comprising spaced vertical columns each having a channel. Rollers are captured in each of said channels that are capable of vertical movement along its respective channel. A first toe plate is affixed to said columns and adapted to extend horizontally during use. A second toe plate is attached to the rollers and adapted to move vertically along said columns between upper and lower positions. The first and second toe plates are in nesting relationship when the second toe plate is in its lower position.
Abstract:
A dolly on which a materials handling package such as a crate or pallet can be carried has wheels (15, 16, 17, 18) each having a peripheral surface comprising a plurality of spaced projections and recesses therebetween, facilitating running of the dolly over a support surface of corrugated form such as may be found on a railway wagon for motor vehicle transportation. This facilitates the use of such railway wagons for transportation of vehicle components on the return journey after having delivered vehicles.

Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments are directed to pool cleaners that remove debris from water using a plurality of cyclonic flows, or that include a removable impeller subassembly, a check valve for a debris canister, a particle separator assembly having a handle that locks to the pool cleaner, a modular roller drive gear box, or a roller latch that secures a roller to the pool cleaner. Exemplary embodiments are also directed to the check valve and the roller latch themselves. Exemplary embodiments are directed to a filter medium for pool cleaners that includes embossments providing flow channels for water, and to roller assemblies for pool cleaners. Exemplary embodiments are directed to pool cleaners including alternative pump motor engagements. Exemplary embodiments are directed to pool cleaners power supplies that include a potted and contoured power board assembly, and to kickstands therefor. Exemplary embodiments are directed to a pool cleaner caddy, and removable wheels therefor.
Abstract:
An apparatus for traversing loose, granular material includes a frame and a rotatable traction device connected to the frame. The outer surface of the rotatable traction device includes spaced apart curvilinear or angular traction ridges and spaced apart curved or angular valleys, each valley being between a pair of adjacent traction ridges, thereby forming curved or angular shovel-like elements. Each shovel-like element has a leading curved or angular surface and a confining curved or angular surface. Rotation of the rotatable traction device results in rotation of the shovel-like elements through the loose, granular material. Each shovel-like element enfolds a portion of the loose, granular material bordering the leading curved or angular surface of the shovel-like element, and the confining curved or angular surface of the shovel-like element confines at least part of the enfolded portion of the material, thereby confining and restricting displacement of the enfolded portion of the material.
Abstract:
A molded plastic fishing supply caddy on four traction wheels and having a foldable rear handle. The handle is locked at a 45.degree. angle for pushing or pulling the caddy on two wheels in rough terrain or in sand. The caddy is compartmentalized with a food cooler compartment and a live bait well compartment in the rear with doubled lids. A tackle box is stored under the smaller cooler lid. A large open forward compartment carries fishing paraphernalia such as casting nets, wading boots, rain gear, folding seats, buckets, etc. An open-tubed bracket structure is provided at a forward end, for fishing rods and a beach umbrella.

Abstract:
An omnidirectionally moving wheel includes multiple rotating bodies and a wheel, wherein each rotating body has a flexibility to be able to bend a rotational axis, is bent to encircle an outer circumference of the wheel in a ring-like shape, and is compressed in a direction of the rotational axis of each rotating body to be disposed on the wheel in a manner to allow rotation centered around each rotating body's secured rotational axis extending along a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the wheel.
