摘要: A linear transport apparatus includes a transport cart, a first roller that rotates about a first rotation shaft extending from the transport cart along a first direction, a second roller that rotates about a second rotation shaft extending from the transport cart and forming an acute angle with the first rotation shaft, and a rail sandwiched between the first and second rollers to extend along a track on which the transport cart moves. The rail includes a first contact portion coming contact with the first roller and restricting movement of the transport cart in a second direction perpendicular to a direction in which the rail extends and the first direction, and a second contact portion that comes into contact with the second roller and is parallel to the second rotation shaft, and the rail includes a portion in which curvature of the track moves is different from another portion.

摘要: The Signal Effectiveness Enhancement system utilizes audible warning apparatus to reduce the number of accidents due to rail-vehicle operators missing wayside signals. The system accomplishes this by monitoring the light patterns emanating from wayside signals to identify the displayed message such as: “stop” or “limit speed” and to detect faulty signal operation such as a “dark signal”. The system also tracks the speed of and the distance to approaching vehicles using a range measuring system located at the wayside signal or onboard the approaching vehicle. If the vehicle is complying with the displayed traffic control signal no action is taken. If the vehicle is approaching dangerously or if the signal is dark, the system triggers trackside sound generators located upstream from the wayside signal or triggers a warning system in the cab of the vehicle to gain the vehicle operator's attention.

摘要: A control arrangement for a rail vehicle, having at least one control device which is or can be connected for the purpose of receiving sensor signals, wherein the sensor signals each represent at least one speed, and having at least one bus connection which is used or can be used to connect the control device to a data bus of the rail vehicle for interchanging data. The control device creates a standstill signal on the basis of the sensor signals and transmits the standstill signal onto the data bus. Also disclosed is a standstill determination device which can receive standstill signals via the data bus, wherein the standstill determination device determines, on the basis of standstill signals received via the data bus, whether the rail vehicle is at a standstill. Also disclosed is a rail vehicle and a method for determining a standstill of a rail vehicle.

摘要: Systems and methods for detecting the dynamic train-to-rail shunting performance of a train as it is moving along the rails of a railroad track. The systems and methods use portable equipment temporarily installed at a site where it is desired to test the shunting of one or more trains or the electrical equipment installed at the track. The systems and method use sensor plates and a high speed recording system to simultaneously capture measured train-to-rail shunting characteristics and the positioning of a train's axles and any rail conditions impacting the measurements. The captured information can be used to fine tune the train, the electrical equipment installed at the track and/or to design new devices.

摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling movement of a vehicle through a network is disclosed. The network has a plurality of stations interconnected by a plurality of path segments. A plurality of branch points connect the path segments and require a vehicle approaching a branch point to be directed in either a first or second direction. Line-defining parameters are provided for each of the branch points and define a network-dividing line which divides the plurality of stations into a first set which are attainable by a vehicle being directed in a first direction and a second set attainable by a vehicle being directed in a second direction. Coordinates of a destination station are associated with a vehicle. As the vehicle approaches a branch point, the coordinates of the destination station are compared to the line-defining parameters of the approaching branch point and the destination station is determined to be in either the first set or the second set. The vehicle is directed in a first direction if the destination station is determined to be in the first set and in a second direction if the station is determined to be in a second set.
