Abstract:
An all-purpose, multi-use touchup tool designed for home, office, and general construction work for producing a pleasant, show-quality finish to the construction project. The system generally includes a multitool having up to ten functional touch-up tasks capable of being performed thereby, including multiple blade edges, brushes, and measuring elements. A holder element can be joined with the multitool to expand the functionality of each. The system could include other touchup tools and elements such as a storage cup, wipes, and additional brushes and sanding elements.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for removing a viscous material from a structure. The apparatus may comprise a base section. The base section may be configured to move along a surface of a first part and a second part of the structure. The base section may have sides that form a pocket. The sides may have a shape that substantially conforms to the surface of the first part and the second part of the structure.
Abstract:
A blade holder for smoothing and planing off a substrate comprising a handle, a receiving means including a receiving space for a blade, wherein the blade has a larger blade side surface and a narrow side which is at the rear in a cutting direction and which has a cutting edge, and a positioning aid for positioning the blade holder relative to the substrate, wherein the positioning aid includes a spacer device, by means of which the blade can be arranged in a spaced position in the receiving means in such a way that it can be positioned in spaced relationship with the substrate with its cutting edge for processing the substrate. A method and a blade for the blade holder are also provided.
Abstract:
A scraping tool for removing material from a bucket. The scraping tool has a blade which conforms to the curved sidewall of a bucket and is substantially flat so it can be inexpensively manufactured and efficiently stacked for shipping and storage.
Abstract:
A hand-held tool for removal and scraping of matter, such as mortar, drywall and the like from surfaces such as containers, buckets and the like, thereby perhaps salvaging the matter for reuse as well as salvaging the container. A hand-held tool may include, in the various embodiments, a curved blade having at least one straight side edge; a flat bottom edge; and a top surface that may be used a handle, a hanging shelf, and perhaps even reinforcement of the integrity of a blade. A hand-held tool may be made of stainless steel, galvanized metal, plastic and the like.
Abstract:
The invention is essentially a tool device which is a combination of components, features and functions, including knife, chisel, scrapper, ruler, depth gage, and straight edge, housed in one easily handled and transported unit.
Abstract:
A burnishing tool is disclosed in one presently preferred embodiment of the present invention as including a first end, a second opposing end, and an elongated intermediate portion disposed between the first and second ends. The intermediate portion of the burnishing tool is formed having a general arcuate configuration and includes a main body and a handle. The main body of the intermediate portion comprises a dimensional width greater than the dimensional width of the handle such that the burnishing tool fits comfortably and conveniently within the contour of a hand of a user. Specifically, the configuration of the burnishing tool facilitates sufficient surface area in the handle to facilitate gripping of the present invention and the application of sufficient compression force or pressure against the main body of the intermediate portion with the thumb and forefinger while using the palmar region of a user's hand to apply additional pressure in a controlled manner against the surface or substrate to which the main body or contoured leading edge is applied. Formed at the first end of the burnishing tool is a contoured leading edge. In structural design, the leading edge comprises a soft radius and rounded corners to prevent binding, marring, scratching, gouging, or the like in the surface facing of a substrate or surface upon application. In addition, the leading edge at the first end of the intermediate portion of the burnishing tool is preferably formed having one corner of the leading edge that dimensionally longer than an opposing corner of the edge.
Abstract:
A method for cleaning an interior cavity of a container including the following described steps. Firstly, insert a hard pliant card with rapid elastic recovery to within 96% of original into an interior cavity of a container. Secondly, exert a force upon the card until the card deforms to assume an arcuate shape substantially conforming with the interior contours of the container. Thirdly, move the card along the interior contour of the container in a scraping action such that an edge of the card scrapes residue from the interior contour of the container.
Abstract:
A window scraper and method are provided wherein a scraping brush has filaments and wherein the tips of the filaments are moved linearly across the work surface as the brush rotates. Preferably, the brush has brass filaments trimmed to a point, and the brush drive mechanism moves the brush in an oscillating arcuate path while cams and cam surfaces simultaneously cause the brush to move toward and away from the work surface to maintain the tip of the filaments in substantially the same plane at a constant distance and pressure relative to the work surface. A novel brush has filaments trimmed to a point, an axle of rotation and cams to engage cam surfaces. The device includes an oscillating drive mechanism, a slot to rotatably and slidingly receive the brush axle, and cam surfaces to engage the brush cams and cause the brush axle to slide in the slot, causing the brush to move toward and away from the work surface during portions of the rotating brush sweep.
