A plunger of an ejecting cylinder fixed in the lower beam is connected to the floating worktable and drives it. The hydraulic press of the invention simplifies the hydraulic system of the existing hydraulic, improves utilization rate of energy, production efficiency and working accuracy of workpiece.
Abstract:
Method of correcting a bending operation performed by a press brake, the bottom beam of which contains deformation compensation cylinders, in which a calibration nomogram is pre-recorded using very short calibration pieces, this nomogram establishing a correspondence between the forces measured at the side frames and the pressures applicable to the compensation cylinders in order to keep the bottom beam substantially straight. During a subsequent bending operation, pressure values resulting from this nomogram are applied to the compensation cylinders according to the forces measured at the side frames. A bottom dead centre is recalculated by taking account of the deformation of the top beam, the deformation of the side frames, the actual length and thickness of the piece, and the spring effect.
Abstract:
A multiple opening panel press is described with a plurality of movable platens which are individually controlled to adjust the spacing between adjacent platens to a predetermined panel width. Position-sensor transducers are employed to produce control signals corresponding to the platen positions which operate control cylinders by associated valves to adjust the platen spacing. The transducers are preferably sonic waveguides which interact with permanent magnets fixed to the movable platens to generate platen position signals which are applied to an automatic control system which includes a computer that produces the control signals.
Abstract:
A press working control method for controlling the press working operation of a press having a pressure cylinder for applying a working pressure to a workpiece, a press slide operatively connected to the pressure cylinder and carrying a movable die, a bed fixedly mounted with a fixed die, a plurality of control cylinders supporting the press slide in a level position during the press working operation, and a press control system for carrying out the press working control method. The press control system comprises a first pressure detector for detecting the operative pressure of the pressure cylinder, quick-response control valves each for regulating the height of the control cylinder, height detectors each for detecting the height of the control cylinder, second pressure detectors each for detecting the operative pressure of the control cylinder, servovalves each for detecting the operative pressure of the control cylinder, and a control unit including a computer for deciding manipulated variables for the height and operative pressure control of the control cylinders on the basis of data obtained by the detectors. The respective heights of the control cylinders are regulated individually so that the press slide is maintained in a level position during the press working operation, while the respective operative pressure of the control cylinders are regulated so that a desired working pressure is applied to the workpiece.
Abstract:
A fluid powered compression molding press or the like in which members such as platen members are movable relatively toward one another to develop high pressures therebetween, such as for instance forming a workpiece or work material in a compression die, and including means for compensating for tilting movement of the movable member relative to the other member by creating a force moment acting on the movable member in a direction opposite to the direction of tilting movement. The compensating means includes leveling units adapted for engaging coaction with the movable member and coupled into a closed fluid system including slave units and a control unit operatively connected together, whereby the control unit operates to generate reaction pressure in the respective leveling unit via the respective of said slave units.
Abstract:
Apparatus for compensating for eccentric loads in forging presses and the like. The apparatus includes a plurality of hydraulic cylinders positioned about the press and connected between the platens. The cylinders are interconnected through a hydraulic integrating device so that if there are eccentric forces acting on the platens the forces within the hydraulic cylinders are automatically shifted to counteract the eccentric forces.

Abstract:
Molding compound parts with uniform wall thickness are precisely and repeatedly produced by compression, though supporting rods and levelling devices used for supporting the platen of press equipment which tilt during compression. The press equipment of the present invention is provided with levelling devices for supporting the platen at the four corners on the bed. The supporting rods of the levelling devices are hollow, with position detecting means vertically mounted therein so that the height of the supporting rods can be precisely detected and the rods can be synchronously controlled so as to make the upper mold half parallel to the lower mold half of the mold without magnifying the error caused by the inclination of the supporting rods.
Abstract:
A fluid powered press comprising a first platen and a second platen with at least one of the platens being reciprocably movable along a predetermined axis relative to the other platen and having motor means for so moving the movable platen, and a leveling system therefor. The leveling system comprises a plurality of hydraulic leveling piston and cylinder units mounted on one of the platens with each of the leveling units including a projecting rod member connected to the piston of the respective leveling unit and movable with the piston axially relative to the cylinder of the respective leveling unit. Reciprocal fluid powered motor units mounted on the other platen coact with wedge locks for selectively coupling the rod members to the other platen. Means are provided for maintaining the leveling unit cylinders filled with hydraulic fluid; and conduit means communicate pairs of the leveling units together in a closed loop system, with such leveling units when coupled to the other platen resisting tilting movement of the platens relative to one another during operation of the press.
