Abstract:
A vacuum mechanism for flattening bowed panel samples includes a support structure with coplanar support elements and a fixture with a movable component actuated by a vacuum source. The movable component has a top surface disposed above the support elements when no vacuum is applied and is capable of being drawn to a substantially coplanar position with the support elements when actuated by the vacuum source. The top surface is fluidly connected to the vacuum source and adapted to adhere to the overlaying surface of the sample when vacuum is applied, thereby flattening the sample when the movable component is drawn in by the same vacuum source.

Abstract:
Press for manufacturing molded or pressed products, comprising a press tool fixed at one end of a moving cylinder. Said moving cylinder is coaxially mounted inside a fixed guiding cylinder fixed and coaxially suspended inside a cylinder forming the outer envelope of the press. The press has a moving wall defining a first variable volume chamber, eight hydraulic jacks with free differential pistons arranged in crown about the central cylinder. The outer envelope comprises a widening provided with at least a bore wherein are arranged explosion means to cause the displacement of the press tool when the press is used as a combined pneumatic/explosion press. The press has reduced overall dimensions, and may be adapted to the manufacture of different articles at various working rates by simple and fast modifications.
Abstract:
This mechanism makes it possible to obtain in succession a fast approach stroke (C), and then a work stroke with a substantial developed stress, in operations such as riveting or marking, the work stroke being started as the tool (16) comes into contact with the part to be pressed (25). A control stem (4) and a body (9) are movable along one and the same axis (3), means such as a clack (31) providing for their non permanent locking. The stem (4) is integral with a primary piston (8) penetrating into a hydraulic circuit (10, 11) of the body (9); this circuit communicates, on the one hand, with an expansible casing (19) surrounding the body (9) and making it possible to block this body with respect to the frame (1), and on the other hand, with a chamber (12) in which a secondary piston (15), drawn back by a spring (18) and integral with tool (16), slides.
Abstract:
A press device having a cradle, a base plate, a fracturing device, an actuator, a switch, and a body. The base plate is located at a first end of the cradle. The fracturing device is proximally located at a second end of the cradle. The cradle is adapted to work in communication with the base plate to maintain alignment between the baseplate and the fracturing device. The actuator is proximally located to the second end of the cradle. The switch is operably connecting the actuator to the fracturing device. The body holds the cradle, base plate, fracturing device, actuator driven ram, and switch. The preferred embodiment uses a hydraulic ram.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a press for producing pellets from powdered material comprising at least one die with a mold cavity imaging the pellet, at least one upper punch and at least one lower punch that interact with the mold cavity to form the pellet, and at least one electric drive for driving the upper punch, and/or the lower punch, and/or the die along a main press axis, wherein the press also comprises at least one movable element acting on the die and/or the mold cavity of the die, wherein at least one electro-hydrostatic drive is provided to drive the at least one movable element.
Abstract:
A manually operated press includes a cam disc that is pivotably mounted about an axis, an actuation member that acts upon the cam disc for producing a pivoting movement, a press slide and a press stand that accommodates the press slide allowing it to perform a stroke movement. The pivoting movement triggered by the actuation member is converted by the cam disc into a stroke movement of the primary piston and is transferred to the press slide via the hydraulic line and the secondary piston.
Abstract:
A press that includes a push rod (12) that can be pushed downward to cut and mold miniature components, has a small size and a minimum number of components, and can be easily and precisely controlled. The push rod has a largely upwardly-facing shoulder (140) that lies in a chamber that can receive pressured hydraulic fluid to push down the push rod. A piezoelectric actuator, or piezoactor (18), moves a piston (20) that lies in a pressure cylinder. One end of the pressure cylinder holds hydraulic fluid (130), and when the piezoactor pushes the piston it pressurizes the hydraulic fluid therein. Pressured hydraulic fluid in the pressure cylinder flows through a passage (23) to the rod chamber to press down the push rod. The cross-sectional area of the pressure cylinder is many times greater than the cross-sectional area of the push rod shoulder so slight movement of the piezoactor is magnified many times by the hydraulic fluid to move the push rod with a long stroke.
