摘要： A method of filling a mold with a settable material, such as a cementitious mixture, is disclosed. The mold includes a plurality of cavities that open to a top face of the mold, and is suitable for forming building elements, such as pavers, for covering surfaces. The method includes providing an additional volume per unit area of settable material to at least part of selected ones of the cavities, and compacting the settable material in at least part of all of the cavities, including the additional volume per unit area of settable material provided to the selected ones of the cavities, to substantially the same thickness. A mold and a scraper suitable for use in the method are also disclosed.

摘要： A vibration imparting device for a concrete finishing tool uses a housing having a chamber surrounded by an inner surface of the housing. A vibrator with a support, a rotor with a shaft and weighted body, a motor, and a resilient link between the shaft and the motor is positioned within the housing chamber. The vibrator also includes a resilient band to separate the vibrator from the housing inner surface. First and second adaptors are employed for the housing to be placed between the handle and the terminus of a concrete finishing tool.

摘要： A gypsum board forming device (10) constitutes an apparatus of producing gypsum boards. A layered formation of a lower sheet (1), an upper sheet (2) and a gypsum slurry (6) passes through a forming gate (40). The forming device forms the formation into a plate-like configuration with use of upper and lower plates (20, 30). The upper plate (20) is constituted from a fixed substrate plate (21) and a movable plate (22), and the movable plate is in surface-to-surface contact with the upper sheet of the layered formation. A plurality of actuators (50) is supported by the substrate plate. Each of the actuators applies an upward or downward load (P) to the movable plate locally for a local deformation of the movable plate owing to a deflection thereof. A gate size (T) is locally changed by displacement of the movable plate relative to the substrate plate.

摘要： A novel adjustable screed bar holder used to support screed bars used in concrete finish work. The holder moves along a supporting device such as a stake, pin, or post. A lever on the holder is coupled to a cam wheel such that movement of the lever will disengage the cam wheel from the stake. When the cam wheel is in the disengaged position the holder is free to move along the stake until the lever is released and the cam wheel secures against the stake. Typically the holder will be used to hold a piece of lumber, pipe, rebar, or tubing parallel to the forms used in concrete placement. A screed may then be run over the concrete while it rides on the screed bar supported by the adjustable holder.

摘要： A roof tile making machine and its method of operation. The reinforcement ribs on the underside of a concrete roofing tile are formed during their manufacture by directing mortar into recesses in a pallet on which the tile is made, with a compactor means in the form of multi-tined wheels compacting the mortar in the recesses, and providing thereafter a secondary layer of mortar over the compacted reinforcement ribs, to complete the tile in a conventional manner. A tile provided by the apparatus of the invention has reinforcement ribs which are compacted to the same degree as the remainder of the tile, thereby ensuring that the finished product, when cured, has a uniform, or substantially uniform, strength.
