    摘要: A power tool includes a motor housing having a motor configured to rotate an output shaft about a drive axis and a gear housing defining a gear compartment. A pinion gear is supported by the gear housing that is coupled to the output shaft for rotation about the drive axis. A bevel gear is supported by the gear housing for rotation about a bevel axis perpendicular to the drive axis, the bevel gear being meshingly engaged with the pinion gear. A crank pin extends from the bevel gear at a position offset from the bevel axis. An articulating housing is pivotably supported by the gear housing for pivotal movement about the bevel axis. A plunger member is supported by the articulating housing for reciprocating movement along a reciprocating axis. The plunger member includes a yoke end portion coupled to the crank pin. The reciprocating axis and the drive axis reside in the same plane throughout pivotal movement of the articulating housing with respect to the gear housing.

    摘要: A scroll or jigsaw of the walking beam type is disclosed in which the upper and lower beams or arms are of hollow, tubular construction so as to have sufficient rigidity to resist up and down vibrational movement, and so as to permit lateral cutting. The beams are mounted in a pair of identical die cast frame members, and the drive motor is mounted directly to the rear of the frame members. The motor is connected to the rear ends of the beams for reciprocably driving them. The frame members, together with the motor, are pivotally mounted relative to a base or table frame thereby to permit angling of the saw blade (as opposed to tilting the table) for bevel cuts.

    摘要: An apparatus for sawing different kinds of materials has a supporting frame including a girder-type construction defining an opening for the feed-through of materials to be cut in longitudinal direction by a saw blade. A supporting platform for materials to be cut includes a carriage platform for materials to be cut includes a carriage displaceable in longitudinal direction, and a clamping arrangement for materials to be cut is located on the carriage. At least one supporting bracket is positioned laterally of the saw blade in front and back regions of the frame and mounted on said carriage, and an upper and lower cross-beam is provided for each supporting bracket, with each lower cross-beam being arranged at a distance from the carrier. Vertically movable rods are arranged between the upper and lower cross-beams and carry a clamping device for materials to be cut. The saw blades may be slanted for increased efficiency and durability.

    摘要: A subframe for a motor and a transmission to be employed in a portable power tool. The subframe is formed of two plate-like elements that are substantial mirror images of one another containing complementary cut out portions for receiving the motor and transmission and which are secured together to define the subframe. Each plate-like member includes complementary struck out portions for receiving bearings for mounting rotating parts of the transmission and the motor. The recesses may be semispherical for receiving spherical bearings or cylindrical for receiving sleeve or cylindrical or ball bearings. The plate-like members may be secured together by any of a variety of means such as sheet metal screws, struck metal tabs, spot welding or adhesives. The subframe may include a rotary output or may mount within its confines a mechanism for converting rotary motion to any desired type of motion as for example, reciprocating motion. Alternately, a subframe having a rotary output shaft may be employed in conjunction with an adaptor for converting rotary motion to reciprocating motion so that a single type of subframe may be employed in power tools requiring both rotary outputs and reciprocating outputs.
