    摘要: The present utility model belongs to the field of repair and maintenance of sporting goods, and particularly to a ski holder for waxing and edge trimming which includes a holder body, a fixing member, and a fastening member. The holder body is provided with placement positions for placing a ski and a fixing position for fixing the holder body; the holder body further includes a movable piece, the movable piece is arranged between adjacent placement positions, and the movable piece can move toward the placement positions on both sides thereof. One end of the fixing member passes through the holder body and is exposed at the fixing position, and the fixing member is moved to cooperate with the fixing position to fix the holder body. One end of the fastening member passes through the holder body and is exposed at the first placement position, and the fastening member is moved to cooperate with the placement position to fasten the ski. In the present utility model, the ski in any placement position can be fixed through the short-stroke movement of the fastening member, thereby realizing quick fastening of snowboard and ski. The ski holder provides three placement modes of vertical placement, inclined placement, and horizontal placement, facilitating the maintenance of ski including waxing and edge trimming.

    摘要: A workpiece clamp for holding a workpiece securely to a fixture block or work table during operations, such as machining and woodworking. The clamp includes a body and an insert, the insert having a contact face for applying force to the workpiece. The body preferably held in a cavity in the fixture block surface and the insert received in an inclined or angled recess in the body. The insert preferably includes a bore therethrough, such that a tension bolt can be inserted through the insert and into the body. Threads in the tension bolt can be engaged with threads in the body, drawing the insert along the inclined recess in the body, thereby applying tension to the tension bolt and applying downward and forward forces to the workpiece at the contact face. In one clamp, the body top is flush with or below the surface of the fixture block. In a preferred clamp, when the insert is fully inserted into the body, a small portion of the insert, including the contact face, extends above the fixture block surface. The clamp provides a strong forward and downward force on the workpiece with very little face deflection. The low profile clamp allows all but a small portion of the workpiece being held to be accessed with the tool being used, including the workpiece sides. One clamp includes flexibility imparted to the body, the insert, or both body and insert. Flexibility can be imparted by a relief cut disposed near the body upper lip or near the insert contact face.

A locating surface is fixed relative to the fixed jaw and extends transversely at a laterally rearward or inward position relative to the fixed and movable jaw surfaces, with the locating surface being engageable by the item to be clamped when the item is inserted between the jaw surfaces. A resilient biasing apparatus is included for resiliently biasing the movable jaw in a generally forward or outward lateral direction, and a clamping apparatus is positioned laterally inward or rearward of the locating surface. The clamping apparatus is selectively actuable for forcibly urging the movable jaw toward the fixed jaw in order to clamp the item therebetween, and for exerting a clamping force on the movable jaw at a lateral position rearward or inward of the locating surface. This arrangement forcibly urges the movable jaw and the item laterally rearwardly as the item is forcibly clamped between the jaws.

    摘要: An end preparation tool for pipe fittings includes an end preparation tool having a rotary cutting head with shaping bits carried thereon mounted on a base that also carries a universal clamping fixture for pipe fittings having end openings to be machined in preparation for welding. The clamping fixture includes workpiece engaging clamping pads that permit adjustment of the position of the workpiece relative to a pair of opposed clamping plates that normally secure the pipe fitting in place relative to the cutting head of the end preparation tool. The clamping fixture includes adjustment features that enable the fixture to be moved transversely relative to the cutting head, along the rotary axis of the cutting head and about a vertical axis that permits indexing of the clamping fixture relative to the tool cutting head. The workpiece engaging pads are disposed in an array that extends along a square and diagonal pattern of intersecting lines, and along lines perpendicular to the square lines between their intersections. By locating workpiece engaging pads in such a geometric array, virtually all conventional fittings can be accommodated between the clamping pads comprising the clamping fixture using a minimum number of pad elements. Several embodiments of clamping pads are described.

    摘要: The invention concerns an adjustable precision grinding and machinist vise which has a novel mechanism for precisely clamping metal pieces, tools, and other articles between a movable jaw and a stationary jaw. The vise is made such that it can be mounted on larger machines such as lathes, drills, milling machines, surface grinders and the like. The device employs a series of notches in the base as a guide means to stabilize clamping. A pin engages, at its lower end, a guide with opposite flanges which guide also has a central wedge with an arcuate load bearing surface. The pin extends through a rotatable clamp disposed within an angling shoulder on the movable jaw. The pin is disposed through the movable jaw and into a chamber in the base for engagement in the guide means to thereby insure precise positioning. Threadably tightening the pin into the guide snugs either the arcuate upper surface of the wedge or the arcuate upper surface of the flanges, or both into engagement with an upper surface of the chamber in the base. The rotatable clamp and wedge (as well as flanges) allow rotation such that the movable jaw moves toward the stationary jaw of the vise upon tightening.
