摘要: The invention relates to apparatuses for cleaning surfaces from contamination. The apparatus comprises a body, a shaft with a rotation axis, wherein such shaft is mounted to allow rotation in the body. The apparatus comprises a stationary cutter die secured to the body, and a flat throughput die secured to the body and placed below the stationary cutter die in a plane parallel to the plane of the stationary cutter die. The apparatus also comprises a rotating cutter die between the mounting plane of the upper stationary cutter die and the mounting plane of the flat throughput die, and is made to allow cutting the pellets of solid cryogenic substance in the plane of contact between the stationary cutter die and the rotating cutter die and/or in the plane of contact between the flat throughput die and the rotating cutter die. The invention allows improved performance of the dry ice blasting process.

摘要: A method for creating a three-dimensional (3D) mark in a protective coating including at least one of a TBC and a bond coating over a metal part, is provided. The method may include positioning a mask over the protective coating, the mask including an opening pattern therein; and performing an abrasive waterjet process on the protective coating using the mask. The abrasive waterjet erodes a first portion of the protective coating exposed through the first opening pattern to create the 3D mark. The mask is removed, leaving the 3D mark in the protective coating. The 3D mark only partially penetrates through the protective coating. A metal part may include a metal body, a protective coating over the metal body, and the 3D mark in the protective coating, is also provided. The 3D mark in the protective coating may include an opening having a width of between 30 and 300 micrometers.

摘要: An abrasive media blaster assembly includes a container to hold at least one abrasive media, an external air source to provide a compressed air supply, a reservoir to hold water and rust inhibitor solution and a venturi blaster gun. The venturi blaster gun comprises an exterior nozzle, a media blaster block and a trigger with a handle. The fittings in the media blaster block create a venturi effect and draw the water and rust inhibitor solution so as for it to mix with the abrasive media where the dustless blaster sprays the mix to remove surface finishes from a metal surface and simultaneously provides a rust inhibitor to the surface, thereby allowing the device to be capable of performing any one, two or all of dry media blasting, slurry blasting, and water blasting.

摘要: According to an aspect of the present invention there is provided a tip for fitting to a nozzle of an air abrasion dental tool. The tip comprises a tip body having a central bore that extends through the length of the tip body from an inlet end to an outlet end. The inlet end of the tip body is configured to receive and form an interference fit with the nozzle of the dental tool. The outlet end of the central bore is provided with at least one flexible prong that extends outwardly from the outlet end in a direction that is substantially parallel to longitudinal axis of the central bore.

摘要: High-pressure fluid jet systems are provided which include a pump to selectively provide a source of high-pressure fluid, a cutting head assembly configured to receive the high-pressure fluid and generate a high-pressure fluid jet for processing workpieces or work surfaces, and a fluid distribution system in fluid communication with the pump and the cutting head assembly to route the high-pressure fluid from the pump to the cutting head assembly. The pump, the cutting head assembly and/or the fluid distribution system include at least one fluid distribution component having a unitary body formed from an additive manufacturing or casting process with an internal passage having at least a curvilinear portion to efficiently route matter through the fluid jet system. Example fluid distribution components include fittings, valve bodies, cutting head bodies and nozzles of the high-pressure fluid jet systems.

摘要: A fluid jet system providing a hydraulic induction manifold for at least two valves. The manifold is positioned “upstream” of an abrasives holding tank, so that no abrasive material flows through the valves and the manifold. The valves and the manifold provide pressurized fluid for at least two different flows: (1) a primary fluid flow and (2) an abrasive material flow through the abrasives holding tank. The two flows are merged again at a junction to provide a fluid flow having a predetermined abrasive-to-fluid mixture ratio. The manifold balances the pressure of the two different flows using a preset geometric relationship between the two different output flow paths associated with the valves.
