    摘要： A work table for a saw includes a pair of parallel spaced apart horizontally extending guide channels, each guide channel having a vertical web and upper and lower horizontal flanges, the open sides of the channels facing one another; a saw support plate having two pairs of runners for supporting the saw support plate, one pair of runners at one end of the plate and projecting outwardly from the sides of the plate and the other pair of runners at the other end of the plate and projecting outwardly from the sides of the plate. The runners are received within the channels to support the saw support plate in a horizontal plane and the saw support plate is movable in a horizontal plane. The guide channels are provided with apertures in their upper flanges through which the runners may pass, whereby a pair of runners may be lifted from the channels to rotate the saw support in a vertical plane to invert the saw plate and then the runners may be reengaged with the channels. A saw secured to the saw support plate can thus be readily converted from a bench saw mode to a docking saw mode. The work table also includes a work support plate which can be positioned above or below the saw for operation in either mode.

    摘要： A first embodiment of the present invention includes a raised platform having an arcuate slot formed in the central portion thereof. A radial arm guide is connected to the platform in a manner permitting angular displacement of the same. A workpiece is positioned against the preadjusted radial arm guide and the slot permits one''s hand to grasp or clamp the workpiece against the guide while a saw traverses the workpiece thereby forming a miter cut therein. Means are provided for forming a compound angle cut when desired. A second embodiment includes a raised platform identical to that of the first embodiment. However, a triangular, instead of an arcuate, slot is centrally formed within the platform and guide rails are disposed coincidentally with the peripheral edges of the triangular slot. To form a miter cut in a workpiece, the workpiece is positioned against a triangular rail member and is clamped thereagainst by one''s hand which passes through the triangular slot.

One of the guide rails is rigidly secured to the base, while the other can be laterally adjusted to guide the support plates of different makes of circular saws. A work piece guide bar is provided, being pivotally secured to the base at one of its ends and provided with a bolt-and-nut arrangement engaging an arcuate slot in the base, for releasably locking same in a desired angular position in relation to the path of the saw. A portion of a depression made in the base between the guide rails is occupied by a removable plank for receiving saw-cuts made by the specific saw used with the miter box.

    摘要： A device for making miter cuts in workpieces includes a saw guide pivoted to either a bottom surface B or a top surface A of a board. The saw guide includes two plates spaced above the board surfaces by a pivot assembly and a swing assembly. Almost any commercially available circular power saw may be accommodated by placing the saw base on the plates, positioning the saw blade within alignment slots in the assemblies, and adjusting rails on the plates against the saw base. A keeper on one of the rails prevents the saw from jumping out of the saw guide. When the rails are properly adjusted, the circular saw blade will travel along a saw line between the plates from alignment slot to alignment slot. The top surface A of the board has a straight edged backup adjacent a planar work area. 90.degree. and 45.degree. stops on the top surface reliably and accurately position the saw line normal to or at a 45.degree. angle to the straight edge and aligned with 90.degree. and 45.degree. slots in the backup. Angled miter cuts are also made on the top surface by positioning the saw guide in the 90.degree. stops, and aligning the side of the workpiece held by C-clamps through holes in the board between the 90.degree. slot in the backup and a selected angle mark so that the workpiece side forms a desired angle with the saw line. The bottom surface of the board has a reference line and bottom angle marks. A workpiece side is aligned with the reference line, and an edge of the swing assembly is aligned with the selected bottom angle mark so that the saw line is at a desired angle to the reference line and workpiece.
