    摘要: A chuck has a chuck body centered on and rotatable about a body axis, two first jaws diametrally flanking the body axis, each formed with an angled actuation face, and radially shiftable in the chuck body, and two second jaws diametrally flanking the body axis, each formed with an angled actuation face, interleaved with the first jaws, and radially shiftable in the chuck body. An inner sleeve engages the actuation faces of the first jaws and is axially shiftable to radially shift the first jaws, and an outer sleeve engages the actuation faces of the second jaws and is axially shiftable to radially shift the second jaws. An axially shiftable actuation element carries a pivotal force-transmitting rocker having inner and outer ends operatively engaging the respective inner and outer sleeves for axially shifting the inner and outer sleeves on axial shifting of the element while permitting limited axial movement of the inner and outer sleeves relative to each other.

    摘要: The invention relates to a rotary or fixed cutting tool for machining elements made of a hard and/or abrasive material, said tool comprising at least one active portion having hardness and/or abrasion properties higher than that of the material to be machined, and a passive portion interacting with a tool holder including a clamp, characterised in that the active portion and the passive portion of said tool are formed by an intergral plate defining both portions and obtained directly from a blank having a predetermined constant thickness and a hardness corresponding to that of the active portion so as to obtain a planar tool, and in that the passive portion is elongate and has a constant substantially quadrangular cross-section for interaction with a housing with a corresponding cross-section in the clamp, wherein the integral planar tool thus formed is directly mounted in the housing secured by tightening the same in the clamp.

    摘要: An improved collet tool holder is disclosed characterized by use of formed cam surfaces upon the collet and tightening sleeve of the tool holder. Selective rotation of the sleeve relative to the collet causes selective, ramping, engagement of the complementary cam surfaces which causes selective compression of the collet to securely grip a cutting tool. The collet's internal aperture may optionally present a formed cam surface which engages a complementary cam surface formed upon the shank of the cutting tool.
